    Had to update with Asus previous fw, 3763626,reset then went ahead to this one 3783813 and reset and did settings all new. Can't use Eastern time, doesn't like it.:confused:

    Using newest firmware 376.49_5 In the Performance Tab section my router shows: "your router boot loader is incompatible with turbo overclock" yellow highlights EDIT; current boot loader on Merlin Firmware shows:1.0.1.6 Though I don't currently overclock just leave alone or upgrade...

    How many of those who finally have stable AC68s are going to the 87?

    Just went out and got the AC68U again:D Put Merlin's newest on for it. Working flawlessly so far Was looking at the '87 but we'll see Sold my AC66U earlier today. Since my canon camera "EOS Utility" has been tamed all is well. :) I have no router issues.

    Is anyone getting good connection rates and transfer rates with an AC 66 ?

    No love here either, It will work but can be very finicky . You can play with whatever bandwidths and channels makes no matters Merlins FW helped lots, much better than Asus But the RT-AC66U is no great wonder really I actually tried the '68 and it was worse.

    I just returned 68U to the store as no way in H 68U going to work here. Son is programmer and he was questioning the '68U Got the old Dark Night out did hard reset and my bold connects fine on 2.4 and 5 Go figure its running newest Asus FW for it. Thanks for your reply.

    Have a new Asus RT-A68U. With newest firmware. Strangely none of the cell phones connect and be used to surf . The old 66u dark knight could but was having to reboot The phones are blackberry 9900, iphone 5s, android nexus 5. All phones have newest firmware. No exotic settings used either end...
