    ffs.....i cant find what i did to fix the slow internet speeds when connected to to ovpn, thought it was a firewall rule, your goodself said it was something to do with split tunneling, cant remember what i did

    i will do that, currently i up/downgraded the router to johns fork, now im back at slow internet speeds whilst connected to the ovpn server, i need to trawl through my posts to find the rule that solved it o_O

    not there, i have just installed johns fork and reset everything, now i have to go over my former posts to fix the slow internet speeds whilst connected to ovpn, it was a firewall rule that sorted it (i think)

    Damnit, thought I would get away with this router....I was fancying a new one, I'm on DSL with talk talk in UK, the DSL versions of the Asus router are cheaper, I'll ask iso if it's possible to use my own router, I dont think they do

    Yes, router 1 is ISP and router 2 ñ66u, so, if I am downstairs and connected to R1 WiFi on my laptop, I can't access R2, if I am upstairs and connected to R2 which has pc attached by ethernet I can access R1 Remotely via R2 ovpn server I can access R2 obviously, but can't access R1

    yes had a read of that, i used it to try and have it work on my laptop over the ovpn server, i found the setting to "In the Advanced Settings (dropdown VPN Details) set Advertise DNS to clients to Yes." but cant find this setting.... "On the General settings of the OpenVPN Server page, set...

    That's correct...guess what my other thread I have about slow internet traffic when connected to ovpn (Colin pointed out that all my traffic was going through VPN) , has resolved itself, I just rebooted all my routers as I left for the pub last night and today I could connect to ovpn on my phone...
