    ASUS RT-AC1900P Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.7266

This version is listed on the Asus website for the RT-AC1900P, but without description of changes. Also, when checking for new firmware from my router, it says that my version 380.4164 is the latest. How do I know that 380.7266 is the latest released version? Asus tech support was no help on...

How to: allow WAN access but not LAN

Are there a ways to configure my RT-AC1900P for a device wired into one of the LAN ports NOT to access any other LAN device, yet allow it access to the WAN? Other than using VLANs. Maybe static routes, but I'm not familiar with this concept. Thanks.

RT-AC1900P - Prevent device access to WAN

I tried the stock firmware parental controls. It seems it locks out WAN and LAN access. I'll keep testing.

RT-AC1900P - Prevent device access to WAN

I had a DLink DIR-655. I cant speak to the AC56R. The RT-AC1900p was a great choice for me. The wifi range is great for my ranch house. It has lots of features which I dont use. At this time, I dont use much of the in-built features, such as QoS, and none of their "USB Application" (USB disk...

RT-AC1900P - Prevent device access to WAN

Is there a way to prevent a device to access the Internet. Either by filtering out the IP or MAC address of the device, yet still allow access to other servers on the LAN. I can not find such configurable option in the RT-AC1900P.

    [SOLVED] General VLAN question

I'm beginning to realize the RT-AC1900P does NOT have VLAN capabilities with the Asus firmware. Does the AsusWRT-Merlin firmware support VLANs on the 4 router ports? Or do I have to purchase a managed switch?

Hello, Connected to my ASUS RT-AC1900P, are several hardwired (including a Media Server) and wireless computers, a ROKU, and 2- Chromecasts devices, and wireless "guests" computers/cell phones. My question: Is a VLAN feasible considering a mediaserver on the LAN will stream to the ChromeCast...

When I choose channel 11, I actually get channel 7 (using WiFi Analyzer). Tried rebooting, but that did not help. When I choose channel 1, I get channel 1. On 5Ghz, things work OK. Any thoughts? Dieter

Tutorial How to setup a VPN Server with Asus routers 380.68 updated 08.24

There are NO IP addresses listed in the results of DNSLEAK. It shows 5 servers, but no addresses. Does this mean it is working? To fix DNS leaks, DNSLEAK FAQ says to add: " block-outside-dns" to the Client.ovpn file? This line is not in the Asus created client.ovpn file. Thanks much.
