[ZenWifi XT9] Random issues with latency and dropped packets

Hm, yes, it was at 6:11, sorry. I think you should heat up this thread: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-rt-ax88u-log-item-tunnel-built-successfully.80558/

[ZenWifi XT9] Random issues with latency and dropped packets

Your first pic shows a spike between 11:00 and 11:30, but your log on the second pic starts from 12:56. Scroll up to 11:00, to let us see what it does there. May not help, but could.

Extremely Slow Transfer Speeds on RT-AX92U

Yeah, it is fine this way. Back to your setup: It is really not ideal. Maybe you can get more bandwidth by moving around the nodes inside the rooms, but it is really not ideal. Its not visible on your pics, but do you have the latest firmware? Newer firmwares seems to handle the mix of 2,4GHz...

Why are MLO-enabled networks usually guest networks?

From the Asus FAQ: I belive they use a separate physical CPU (that controls a 2.4GHz radio and a 5GHz radio) to be used for MLO, so it is probably not just a virtual SSID. But it just what i belive, i just started to read about it a few days ago...

    GT-AX6000 power supply

I think they have only this type of PSU bricks, wich is common sense. Using universal ones, instead of designing and manufacturing to each model a new brick... And then they just put the bricks data on the routers label to avoid confusion.

[ZenWifi XT9] Random issues with latency and dropped packets

I recommend to check the spikes as he did with ping plotter, and when it occours, note the timestamp and check the routers log what happens during that time.

Extremely Slow Transfer Speeds on RT-AX92U

Also, the switch are wired to the main router? And your main router has 660Mbps and the wired PCs gets only 400-500Mbps? That can mean that something is not correct on that switch too. This is my (advertised as) 1Gbps connection trough 1Gbps ports. Trough one RT-AX53U, thats wired to a cheap...

Extremely Slow Transfer Speeds on RT-AX92U

If you are measuring 26Mbps on this node, that can be the wireless losses between the main router and the "Living room" and then above that the added losses between the "Living room" and "Bedrom". Means that it is normal with wireless backhaul. Depending on how far they are from each other and...

Download speed still capped after disabling QoS

This menas that there is an another router that can go above 62Mbps? Did you used the exact same cables and filter than what you used with the Asus?

Issue with GT-AXE11000 firmware not saving. /data partition mounting in read-only.

There must be a way (from the asuswrt source) /* Check if the block is good or bad. If bad returns 1, if good returns 0 */ static int nand_is_blk_bad(PCFE_NAND_CHIP pchip, unsigned short blockNum) { #ifdef CONFIG_BRCM_IKOS /* spare area not supported in sim/emu environment */ return 0...

Issue with GT-AXE11000 firmware not saving. /data partition mounting in read-only.

Hi everyone! Im a stock asuswrt enjoyer, but we have a common problem that i could somewhat resolve. I found out that if i swap the MXIC NAND flash on any bricked Asus router (done it on AXE7800, on couple of XD4s, on couple AX92Us and now on XT8s) and i flash the original NAND content back, it...

    GT-AX6000 power supply

All Asus boards are using Buck converters (step down converters) to create 5V, 3.3V and all the other tiny voltages for the CPUs, like 1V, 0.8V...etc. In theory as long as you dont go below the highest used voltage (its usually 5V) you could use that. But the input circuit is different in most...

    Asus ET12 Pro Recommended Switch

They have 2,5G BaseT WAN ports. I think the cheapest option for 2,5 switch from a known manufacturer currently is the DS105G-M2 from TP-LINK. You can hook that to any 1G switches if you need more ports, or just go for the 8 port variant. Btw, what type of switch do you have the problem with?

Asus router RT-AX92U full nand dump needed

I found this in the asuswrt code (it uses this to check for bad blocks) /* Check if the block is good or bad. If bad returns 1, if good returns 0 */ static int nand_is_blk_bad(PCFE_NAND_CHIP pchip, unsigned short blockNum) { #ifdef CONFIG_BRCM_IKOS /* spare area not supported in sim/emu...

Asus router RT-AX92U full nand dump needed

Ok, my method has a flaw. When i check a brand new chip from the factory, lets say it has 1 bad block, checked by the xgpro programmer. As soon as i write the original firmware to it from the original chip, it shows exactly the same amount of bad blocks as it was on the original chip (17 bad...

RT-AX86U WiFi not working after turning on Gear Accelerator

ISP router and the Asus are using the same SSID/pw? If the answer is not, the Androids cant connect to the ISP or to the Asus? ISP routers can be all over the place. My current (gpon) one has a menu point for "gateway" mode, but it is not setting anything at all. I had to turn off its DHCP, and...

Need Help to Setup a Mesh Netwotk

Hmm, i used four UAP-s (100Mbps PoE port, 300Mbps b/g/n) before the fiber hit us. Ubiquiti advertised that if you are using a server to manage them, you will get better roaming. I put that thing up to my seed server, it used a lot of resources, but i could only measure (ping/bandwidth) a tiny...

    AMPLIFI Alien as Access Point

First of all, great choice to think before you buy! The only thing i know about alinens is that they love to capture celebrities. Bridge mode can work, but if not, just turn off the DHCP server on your Alien and make sure that it is using the exact same SSID. If the channel is fixed on the ISP...

Need Help to Setup a Mesh Netwotk

Plus you can get multiple mesh devices for the price of an RT-AX88U Pro. Mesh is just mainly a marketing word for sure, but they are handling wandering between nodes a lot better. If you have womens rushing around the house who got used to have vowifi... They will punish you if you get that away...
