Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Is your ISP device in Modem mode or Modem/Router mode? If you don't know, then whats the WAN IP of the ASUS routers you are testing, public (assigned by the ISP) or private (assigned by the modem/router)? I'm trying to rule out the possibility your ISP doesn't like the MAC address changes. I've...

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Is it the same with both Modem (your router facing Internet) and Modem/Router modes (your router in double NAT) on your ISP device?

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

@boxermansr, remove the Port Forwarding and test the LAN speeds again. Port Forwarding is known to interfere with NAT Acceleration, depending on implementation.

Moving to RT68U from Plusnet router

Static IP assigned to what router? Your ISP doesn't know you have a new router with a different MAC address, right? If you clone your ISP router MAC address, there is a good chance to get the same static IP back, even if you don't touch the "Get the WAN IP automatically" setting.

How to access 2nd router (ASUS RT-AC68U) login page while on main router (Fios G1100) WiFi network?

By "approach" I mean asking for help in a community forum with an idea to use the results for some commercial purposes. Right or wrong, I personally don't like that. Someone else may want to help you further, I'm out.

    RT-AX88U Setup Help Please

You don't need to occupy the entire WiFi spectrum with 160MHz channel then. 80MHz wide on the best throughput control channel in your area is more than enough for your needs.

New wireless router for under £150 ($180)

I personally always set separate SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with fixed channels. I don't have a good experience with so called Smart Connect thing. Not very Smart and not the best Connect. In my understanding it's there to make things Easy for non-technical users.

New wireless router for under £150 ($180)

I see it on Amazon UK for £160 ($200) as we speak, regular £200 (they say). Good luck and stay safe!

New wireless router for under £150 ($180)

Go with Netgear R7800 then. It's not much more expensive actually, I see it available on Amazon UK for £163.

How to access 2nd router (ASUS RT-AC68U) login page while on main router (Fios G1100) WiFi network?

I probably can, but I don't want to. I don't like the approach.

How many 160MHz channel capable devices do you have?

New wireless router for under £150 ($180)

5GHz WiFi is not line of sight only, the signal does travel through obstacles. I personally had an RT-AC86U router before and my backup router now is C2300. In my place both can reach 2 rooms away from the router (>10m distance) through 2 walls on the way (1 concrete + 1 drywall), in both 2.4GHz...

Upgraded to RT-AX88U from RT-AC68U: One Device Can't See SSID

Airtime Fairness may not be compatible with some older 2.4GHz devices.

Asus RT-AC 87U lost both USB ports

USB ports have current overload protection. Don’t just soft reboot the router, but unplug the power supply form the wall, keep router’s power switch in ON position, wait like 30 seconds. Plug the power supply back in, wait for the router to boot, test the USB ports again. If no change, something...

    Deco M9 Plus (3Pack) v/s Nest Wifi (2 Router (not point) )

Well, the answer to your question is pretty simple - test both and keep the one that works better in your environment.

New wireless router for under £150 ($180)

I strongly believe RT-AC86U is going to be a HUGE improvement in both WiFi range and throughput over early 2000’s ISP provided combo modem/router. Wouldn’t be surprised if 5Ghz range is also better. Same applies for Archer C2300, build on the same hardware platform as RT-AC86U. I don’t know why...

    r7800 and open source

Pretty accurate description of my own DD-WRT experience and a good explanation of the reasons why I also lost interest in this project years ago. I remember fighting with my last DD-WRT router somewhere in 2014 and it was a very tedious process of downloading 3-4 different automatically...
