How to access 2nd router (ASUS RT-AC68U) login page while on main router (Fios G1100) WiFi network?

I did, but the only options you have with this specific model are Asuswrt and Asuswrt-Merlin. I don't know. Depends on what do you mean by "commercial application behind your efforts".

List of Semi-Competant USB WiFi Adapters Thread

May not get so lucky with some brand mane products and BIOS hardware whitelists they have. About USB adapter question: Relatively good performance, relatively cheap, good compatibility, actually using USB 3.0 and 2x2 AC: https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/usb-adapter/archer-t3u/ After...

How to access 2nd router (ASUS RT-AC68U) login page while on main router (Fios G1100) WiFi network?

When software solution is not available or it's hard to achieve, more hardware may come to rescue. Get a cheap second-hand RT-AC66U router, run it in Media Bridge mode, connect it to "WAN Only" SSID of the main router, keep it close to the main router in order to hold a steady 1300Mbps link...

New wireless router for under £150 ($180)

Your current router is from 2013, has 2.4GHz band only and you have to reboot it often to keep it going. I would replace it just because of reboots needed, something is obviously failing there.

New wireless router for under £150 ($180)

That means don't expect miracles on 2.4GHz band, even if you go with high-end £250 consumer AIO router. How well your devices will work in your place depends on many factors like where the router is located, how high the router is off ground, what the physical layout of the place is, what...

New wireless router for under £150 ($180)

Changing the router with something more modern may solve the WiFi issues you have, but only if your devices support 5GHz band. Newer routers offer fast 5GHz connections, but don't really shine much in 2.4GHz band. Popular no-frills TP-Link budget routers are Archer C7/A7 models, about £70...

New wireless router for under £150 ($180)

I don't know what your WiFi environment looks like, but in many urban places 2.4GHz band is hardly usable these days.

New wireless router for under £150 ($180)

With same issues with both Router WiFi and Access Point WiFi I would point my attention at Modem and Router parts of the network first. Could be a change in WiFi environment too, a neighbor's router jumping on the same WiFi channels, for example. Most routers run on Auto channel and switch...

VPN CLIENT - QOS Upload Bandwidth limiter BROKEN when VPN Client enabled

This is why most router firmware settings have more than one option to chose from. One thing works best for some, another for others. I did share my observations few times about sfq, but many users insist fq_codel implementation is better. That's totally fine.

How to access 2nd router (ASUS RT-AC68U) login page while on main router (Fios G1100) WiFi network?

I believe you can with Asuswrt-Merlin + YazFi script. You have to set all network VPN and then use YazFi to create an SSID going through WAN only. You can do the opposite too, no specified clients through VPN, but all connected to specific SSID going through VPN. This is the theory from what I...

New-bought ASUS RT-AC86U throttles WAN connection?

I know you're right, but I also know I don't want to get into victims of domestic violence list. :)

New-bought ASUS RT-AC86U throttles WAN connection?

Exactly. I just transferred some large files over WiFi as a test. The WiFi channels around are kind of busy these days and the best I could get from a 2x2 AC client connected at maximum link speed 866Mbps (in the same room as the AP) was about 52MB/sec or about 420Mbps. Not bad actually. I'm not...

Impressed by the TP-Link Archer A7

I don't know about the album, but I clearly remember the best ever Asuswrt-Merlin release for RT-AC66U router was 380.66_6 and now I realize it wasn't just a coincidence. I may eventually buy another ASUS router when @RMerlin gets to 386.66_6 release. :)

    Best Mesh Addition

And YOU @Trip are responsible for the extra $75 I had to spend for my OC200. Well, I failed to read the Manual, but this is a completely different and unrelated story... :)

New-bought ASUS RT-AC86U throttles WAN connection?

And what those devices are capable of? For example, 1x1 AC mobile device can achieve about 200Mbps throughput, 2x2 AC can get about 400Mbps, 3x3 may get you full ISP speed, if the wireless channel is not very busy. Slower 1x1 and 2x2 N devices may not be able to reach 150Mbps throughput ever...

Impressed by the TP-Link Archer A7

No, it's based on the "Number of the Beast" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_of_the_Beast 14.000 sqf is the area of a circle with approx. 66.666 ft radius around this Beast of the Extenders device! :)

OT - surviving pandemic from personal experience (no trolling, PLEASE)

There is at least one threat on every page to close/ban/delete. It's like forcing people to wear anti-moderation protective gear all the time. I'm self-isolating for that reason. Good luck and stay safe everyone.

VPN CLIENT - QOS Upload Bandwidth limiter BROKEN when VPN Client enabled

As far as I know, fq_codel implementation is more like a workaround due to closed source components.
