.4585 seems to have miniDLNA crash problems, at least for me.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.51 is out

Be careful if building from latest source (Alpha 3), wireless radios are disabled on the RT-AC68U and the missing usb applications tab in AP mode is still present. It might be fixed with latest merges.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.51 is out

RT-AC68U configured as an AP, using it as a wireless media server, on this build even after a full reset the USB applications tab is missing.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.51 is out

Any idea why I don't have a USB tools menu tab on this build while in AP mode? Even after a reset.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.51 is out

RT-AC68U reset to defaults after 378.51 install. It's configured as a simple AP and was using it to share media at home but the USB applications tab is missing on this release, I can access the Media server/Samba/FTP setup panels from the main network map page but it won't let me configure...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.51 is out

Wouldn't it be better to have the Traffic Analyzer option hidden in AP mode as it doesn't manage wan traffic and has no use?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 Beta 2 is out

FWIW I've always used the disk sharing feature without problems in AP mode on the N66, AC66 and now on the AC68. Seems to be just a problem on the AC87. Thanks for the new releases Mr Merlin.

    3.0.0.4.374.130

Remember, 31MB/s is probably around the max throughput of a wireless usb 2.0 adapter. Has anybody had a chance to test a usb 3.0 one?

    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

The Xbox wireless problem is/was caused by the Broadcom wireless driver. But I recall that in one of the firmware releases for the n66u Asus used the same driver version but had compiled/built it with a different internal driver configuration and as a result it behaved differently. The...

    Rt-ac68u

Netgear specifically states on their site that the R6250 has a dual core cpu. 'The dual-core 800 MHz processor delivers high-performance connectivity' Maybe the other core comes online under heavy load only?

    Teaser-time!

The future has arrived to domestic routers, raw throughput at it's best. Asus got you some very nice presents before official launch, one up for Asus for them supporting you and your firmware project. Can't wait for even more goodies. Do you have any idea on price and/or availability?

Can firmware cause corrupt downloads in Chrome?

Latest official release made by Ralink can be downloaded here: http://www.mediatek.com/_en/07_downloads/01_windows.php?sn=500 The Asus PCE-N13 uses a Ralink RT2790 chip. Ralink was absorbed by Mediatek a while back so downloads are now from them. AFAIK Intel only make mini-pci wireless cards.

Can firmware cause corrupt downloads in Chrome?

Exactly why I asked, this problem drove me nuts for about two days, had to roll back to Ralink's drivers posted on their site, not the ones from Station Drivers or the like, to solve the problem. From what I've tested the corruption bug only affects the newer Win7 x64 Ralink drivers.

Can firmware cause corrupt downloads in Chrome?

What OS version are you on and what Ralink driver version are you using for the Asus PCE-N13?

    Padavan's Custom Firmware

I saw that the Belkin N750DB has been given support in the source code, I wonder what would it need to get the Edimax BR-6675nD supported also, internally it's very similar to the Belkin. Specs can be found here: http://wikidevi.com/wiki/Edimax_BR-6675nD Thanks

RT-N66U - Bridge Mode Advice needed

Tomato doesn't have bridge mode but I think it can do WDS with WPA2, not sure. DD-Wrt has various bridge modes but is sometimes not too reliable. If you want to try RMerlin's build the file you need is named: RT-N66U_3.0.0.4_270.26b-dwrp

RT-N66U - Bridge Mode Advice needed

The bridge option is not available on stock Asus firmware, it's possible Asus will support this feature in the future. You'll need to install on your n66u one of the experimental builds that RMerlin has on his mediafire download site as it's also a feature that's added by RMerlin but not in...
