Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

Ok... well I don't think it will get aimesh 2.0. I hope I'm wrong, but this is what I heard from one of my friends that had issues with his lyra. He sent a mail to Asus and asked about aimesh 2.0, they said that it won't come to some devices as Lyra, because of the hw differences.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

Well it depends what you are after :) But if the lyra works for you why not keep? But if it works bad, then maybe look for something else. Maybe a few rt-ax58u or ax86u? I think Two of those will be as good as(or better) 3 Lyras. Only thing is that you won't get a dedicated backhaul 5ghz band.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

I wouldn't buy Lyra, don't think it will get aimesh 2.0. Also been quite slow with any updates for it.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

For me happen once that I lost internet connection on my main router, rt-ax88u. It's connected to a mediaconverter(fiber to ethernet switch). I tried to restart that, tried also to change the wan settings, turn off/on wan. Did not help, restart of the router did help. I suspect that I got a new...

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

Well not sure, I think it still will work. But you wont have the new functions that comes with aimesh 2.0. I think someone on this forum had tested with latest firmware on the main router and has some Lyras or similar connected and it has worked?

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

Yes reconnect helps...but that seems not to be the correct way? I mean the reason why i did try this. Is to have iot devices that has bad connection to main router. I want the to connect always to the aimesh node where the connection is good. Only connect to the main if something goes wrong...

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

rt-ax88u + rt-ax58u backhaul wireless (with AX) seems to work fine with latest version. Only thing, which is a question mark for me. How does biding work? I tried it to bind my oneplus nord to aimesh node(ax58u). It was attached there, then I wanted to check what happen if aimesh node goes down...

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

I have seen this on my rt-ax88u on some iot devices, it can't connect to router. Now I have put static ips on them then there is no problem. They are always connected. I have also seen this with aimesh 1.0. They dont manage to keep connected on some of the aimesh nodes. I think it's the same...

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

Not sure, somewhere I heard that it wont get aimesh 2.0. But how well aimesh 1.0 it will work togheter with aimesh 2.0 not sure. Probably and hopefully it works but you will miss some of the features. Otherwise you can throw them in the trash. :(

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

I think Lyras are not getting aimesh 2.0. Not sure about those features. I wonder if if aimesh 1.0 works together with 2.0? Otherwise you can trow them in a trashcan. Which is not great, because Lyras are not that old.

    RT-AX88U as reliable as RT-AC68U?

I had issues with earlier firmwares, lost internet connection. Does not happen anymore. I had rt-ac68u before. This one has better wifi range and better speed. So I think it's for sure better. Works as it should.

A Couple Questions on The Asuswrt-Merlin RT-AX58U Firmware

Can I continue here? I have a question also, noticed that with Lyra connected with aimesh its not possible to disable leds on Lyras. This is with latest merlin release, not sure if it even works with latest asus firmware. With the old rt-ac68u it worked fine, I could disable leds from the gui...

    ASUS AiMesh Reviewed

I could see some changes in the channels if I choose different bandwidth. But still all on the higher channels. I think here(Sweden and also in Finland) DFS channels are from 50 to 140, that are allowed to use but needs the dfs function. The normal 5ghz channels are 36 to 48. please test, I...

    ASUS AiMesh Reviewed

Well, yes... I know. As I mentioned no problem if I don't have a AIMesh node. I can see in the list all possible 5Ghz channels that can be used in my Country. And also I can see that automatically it uses sometime those lower channels. The problem is that I can't choose those manually while...

    ASUS AiMesh Reviewed

No one, any ideas? Is this how it supposed to work? I haven't found really any information about this... And another one, if you have mainrouter with AX and then meshnodes that does not support it. Is it still possible to run AX on the main and the mesh nodes run what they can?

    avahi errors?

I see same stuff on my RT-AX88U. Seen it for a while on different SWs. They usually stop showing after a while.

I wonder why for example RT-AC68U(seen on RT-AX88U also) when adding a aimesh node I can only choose manually 5Ghz channels 100-140? Why not the lower ones? Without connecting any aimesh node then it's possible to choose. Automatically I can see it sometimes chooses channel 36 or so. But on the...
