    ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15

I never said "The CCP controls them." I said "follows CCP laws" which would be for design, firmware, software, updates, patches, etc. Lots of businesses and home users don't want that. Personally I would use GL.iNet devices flashed with vanilla opewrt and replaced uboot. Tplink out of the...

    ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15

Does Cisco make a $159 fanless 120W power budget, 9 port gigabit PoE router that has a three year warranty? No. "Your personal believes" does not change the fact that TPlink is headquartered in mainland china and follows CCP laws.

    ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15

There are no "buts." If a business or home user cares about security, they don't want mainland Chinese gear which follows CCP laws. Like I said before, nothing out there compares to the EBG19P. If it launches in the US at $159, it will be a crazy good deal for what you get.

    ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15

Your TPlink gear won't fly with being headquartered in China and under CCP surveillance laws. IOTS from China is bad enough, but a router/firewall with software you don't control? Insane.

    ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15

https://www.digitalcitizen.life/asus-expertwifi-ebg19p-review/ ebg19p - $159 USD. Way better value proposition. Very few, if any, 9 port routers for this price that feature 15W PoE/port + fanless. Same SoC as the ebg15.

ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15 as main router

Not true. You can access "Professional" settings. You would buy the EBG19P which has 8 PoE ports.

ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15 as main router

https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-expertwifi-ebg15.89511/ Fully compatible; however, 3.0.0.6 aimesh nodes required for vlans.

    ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15

I ended up returning the EBG15 router. Last firmware update made it run hot, I don't think wireless traffic monitoring will ever work, you can *not* turn off the main wireless SSID (single SSID), and this was a little too much for such old hardware. I would not expect load balancing to work...

A Dummy Wants to Watch Security Cam Video on his PC

Agreed; however, that is a DVR with analog BNC and not an NVR.

Click a model to generate a URL for your Laview camera: https://www.ispyconnect.com/camera/laview Main rtsp://IPAddress:5543/live/channel0 ? Substream rtsp://IPAddress:5543/live/channel1 ? Might not even support rtsp. Likely has zero security (anyone can view). Once you get this up and...

    ASUS ExpertWiFi EBR63 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_44544 - 2024/04/26

Have EBG15. I have no issues with ac68u's as nodes. Multiple VLAN = VLAN aware node (running 3.0.0.6). Currently that a handful of consumer routers and expertwifi products. Do you like the EBR63? How is the range?

Mesh router vs regular for mesh

Don't forget that asus has the expertwifi series if you like the look of zenwifi. EBM68 $299 EBA63 $150 EBR63 $130 (obviously can only function as AP or AImesh node)

News RT-AC68U End of Life Announced by Asus

You can read my posts about the ExpertWifi line of products especially if your are client #1. They are on the latest version of firmware and support VLAN (with caveats). I currently have two ac68's working as mesh nodes on that series.

    ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15

(Mods/Admin moved this to wireless, so I guess I will stop posting at the other thread.) ExpertWiFi Demo WebUI is up on asus.com Links in first post. EBR63 works as a node. EBM68 has way more advanced settings. "Smart Connect?" It appears you can add/remove VLAN's/SSID's from specific...

Anyone tried the ExpertWifi routers yet? EBR63, EBM68

Can anyone confirm that the EBR63 can be run as just a AImesh node? Looking for a vlan aware AX AP with multiple ports, doesn't lock me into a controller, and some kind of external antennas. I know it lists node AImesh mode, and should work like this, but none of the marketing shows it working...
