    Your previous router was most likely fine the issue is that cable modem. I would not have bought anything until rogers either replaced the modem or you tested the router on a known connection that is without issues like at a friends house.

    This. I have a dedicated NAS on my network, the router is caching alot of data when using a USB as NAS. And as pointed out before even scripts on a usb key will increase ram usage. Unless you are running into performance issues I would leave it be the router is smart enough to manage its ram.

    This is my current up time on this firmware and have not had a non responsive UI. I'm primary use Firefox to access the gui. What browser are you using?

    I'm on a FTTH PPPOE connection with this firmware. Are you seeing this from the speedtest in the router or using the speedtest app?

    nice review. For me the point of upgrading would be to move up to a faster fiber connection from my ISP. Wifi performance is secondary on my network as only the phones and couple laptops use it. I will need a faster wan port than the 1Gbps port on the AX88U so i will have to move up to it...

    AX88U was a bad device?? Excuse me? i've been using it for 4 years without issue! Currently $399 CAD which is the same price I paid for the AX88U on launch in 2018. 100% I live in Downtown Toronto.

    The price for this model in CAD is very high. If it didn't look like a spider and was using the same chasis as the ax88u i would consider but the look and the price are a major turn off.

    That is why it perfer it, looks alot more neutral and less gamer and will fit better in my living room.
