Fixed: Can't change settings on Administration-System page on RT-AX88U in 384.17

Holy necro batman this thread is over 2 years old. And yes I would recommend doing a brand new setup and not importing a old config.

    It's teaser-time. Because why not.

I want this too and it seems asus does have a line of routers with it but I guess didn't think it was important enough for home users. https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1034018/

    It's teaser-time. Because why not.

Isn't that because OpenVPN is single threaded? And I believe the newer models are still using the same arch just slightly faster cpu 1.8 Ghz vs 2.0 Ghz I think it maybe better to hope for Asus for finish up their Wireguard implementation and for Merlin to incorporate it since that performs...

    It's teaser-time. Because why not.

While that will be beneficial for users like us. Its probably due to cost and will probably hurt their sales abit. As now you won't be forced to upgrade to a new model because you need more ram. Reminds me of lenovo and their 1st Gen X1 carbon laptops all with 4GB of soldered ram. Which you...

    It's teaser-time. Because why not.

Damn I'm hoping this is an upgraded AX88U :) with 2GB of ram and a 2.5Gbs WAN port but there isn't enough LAN ports for it to be that :(

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

I have an a1 version and had no issues with wifi I don't think its related to the revision of the router. As Merlin as stated most wifi issues are related to the client devices. And everyone's wifi environments and devices will be totally different from the next person I totally understand why...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

To be honest wireless is specific to everyone's own environment. Its better for you to upgrade and test it. If you don't like it roll back.

Upgrading to 1.5gbps from 1gigapbit speed

That snail pace is the problem for all cable operators in North America and with more people working from home everyone is starting to see how important upload bandwidth is. I'm hoping for most of the Cable providers in Canada to go Mid split but its always when. This link below not for you but...

Upgrading to 1.5gbps from 1gigapbit speed

lol facts boss. I was on cable internet on 15+ years. When Docsis 3.1 was launched there was big talk years later they still talking about Docsis 4.0. There is only 1 Cable provider that I know in canada that has gone mid split and that is shaw. You can get 100 Mbps uploads with them modems...

Upgrading to 1.5gbps from 1gigapbit speed

Comcast would have to move from a low split to Mid to offer 100Mbps uploads. Who knows if that will ever happen.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

That sounds to me like an Issue on the WAN side have you checked the logs on your modem?

Upgrading to 1.5gbps from 1gigapbit speed

You spitting facts here but better for him to learn this on his own. That is primarily the reason I've stayed at 1Gbps on fiber and not moved up to the 1.5 or 3 Gbps service my ISP offers.

Intermittent loss of Wi-Fi since upgrading to 386.7

That is a very good point didn't look at it from that angle.

Intermittent loss of Wi-Fi since upgrading to 386.7

The GT-AX6000 I like and I guess just adding a switch to that would work. I prefer that to the AX86U as one 2.5Gbps port wouldn't be enough need 1 for Wan then 2nd one for a NAS. And you are right adding a switch isn't a huge deal just for personal preference would like 8 on the router just one...
