TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

I will add that snat to both ends of the site-2-site and see if it makes any difference.

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

I used TAILMON for both routers. I had originally added that line, before @Viktor Jaep added the site-to-site option. After he did, I re-did the network and just selected the Site-to-Site setting in TAILMON. I noticed I never did anything with SNAT. The site-to-site seems to be working fine, so...

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

Sure @jhaf . Here is the main router (AX88U Pro using Starlink) And here is the “other site” an AX58U using TMobile for WAN The AX58U is in the next room - it’s my backup WAN. I did have a true remote site working - it’s 2300 miles away. It used similar settings to the AX58U...

Entware Entware repository update: August 8, 2024

@ryzhov_al is the best! Always responsive. @ryzhov_al - thanks for adding gprcurl! I did the update/upgrade. Lots of libs and apps upgraded. So far, so good! Plus, I'm protected by BACKUPMON if there are any problems.

New version, now using Entwares grpcurl. See OP :-)

Entware Entware repository update: August 8, 2024

Interesting - I see then now support grpcurl. I had compiled a version for aarch64 routers for use with Starlink (my starlnk addon). I have updated my addon to now support the Entware version. This allows all Asuswrt-merlin routers to now run starlnk. I also see they added iptraf-ng. Lots of...

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

Yes, I’m running in kernel mode. BTW, apologies for the late reply. I was OOT. When I checked my route table, I was in another state with my iPad which is running Tailscale. I simply ssh’d into my router, running tm. Easy peasy.

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

Sorry, not using any failover functions provided by the router. My wife’s iPhone will do the failover via a different SSID. I do see 2 100.* networks in my routing table.

    ViktorJP: I'm out-of-the-office

Good luck, learn well! See you in a few months. (and if you get stuck - ask chatai on your router ;-)

chatai - version two - have a chat session with either Googles Gemini AI or Anthropics Claude (or both at once)

Usage Typical usage is to just start chatai: $ chatai When chatai begins, it shows you in chat mode, which AI bot and mentions to enter "q" when done: GeminiAI Chat mode. Enter a line of text and get a response. Enter q to exit this mode chat> Ask questions and get (typically) a...

chatai - version two - have a chat session with either Googles Gemini AI or Anthropics Claude (or both at once)

I have done a major re-write of an addon I created called - chatai This addon will allow you to ask questions of Googles Gemini or Anthropics Claude from your routers CLI. It also supports an analyze file mode - especially useful for log files and small shell scripts. Here is the github...

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

Yes, I tried both. Pings and ssh attempts failed as well. It appears that starting the daemon (tailscaled) then running tailscale with "up --accept-routes=false" gets it working best. I had first installed the Tailscale qpkg using the manual method from Tailscales web site...

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

I will come back and explain how I got it to work - assuming I do ;-) It’s a pain since every time I try something - and it doesn’t work, I need to force a reboot - which takes quite some time. I did see that —accept-routes=false. That’s my next test.

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

Tailmon/Tailscale is working well on my home network. Except for one case. A QNap NAS - once enabled, I can no longer access the NAS via it’s local address (192.168.1.XXX). All other Tailscale enabled devices can be accessed locally. If anyone has installed Tailscale on a QNap NAS, PM me…

Compatibility Findings with AddOns with GT-BE98 Pro

Yes indeed @Martinski has been busy - great to see someone supporting many of these Add-Ons that we use. Remember, he can be found in this link: ;-) https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asuswrt-merlin-addon-developers-donation-links.67496/

RTRMON RTRMON v2.1.4 -Nov 28, 2024- Monitor your Router's Health (New: AMTM, Network Conn/Bandwidth/Diag + Port Scanner + Speedtest)

Yes, nmap takes quite some time to scan the network. And, I believe it relies on clients to be reasonably responsive - unless you let nmap do lots of retries. My observation in watching the output of nmap in a loop - some clients don't respond the first pass - but then do later. Especially IoT...

RTRMON RTRMON v2.1.4 -Nov 28, 2024- Monitor your Router's Health (New: AMTM, Network Conn/Bandwidth/Diag + Port Scanner + Speedtest)

Yes, I was thinking creating a baseline would be interesting. Right now I save the previous list then highlight in bold any new devices. I have a watch mode where it runs over and over doing this. Pretty much every loop shows some gone, some back/new. Then the latest list becomes the new...
