RTRMON RTRMON v2.1.4 -Nov 28, 2024- Monitor your Router's Health (New: AMTM, Network Conn/Bandwidth/Diag + Port Scanner + Speedtest)

Nice job on the connected clients. I will say, after spending a few days trying to display every connected client on my lan - I have a new found respect for Asus Connected Client List. I know we often bash this function - but it’s pretty good based on my observations the past week. I started to...

Question - How Does Wireless Log determine Connected time?

I'm working on my own network map using nmap to scan my network periodically. I have IP, hostname, mac and manufacturer. I can't seem to figure out how to find or calculate the clients "connected" time like the Wireless Log page shows... Is there a log file somewhere or is it calculated from...

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

@Viktor Jaep , just installed 17b on 2 routers (both on a different WAN). I was using Custom. Changed to Kernel, added the enable “accept-routes” on both. Worked like a charm. :)

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

It would be interesting to run a poll asking how many people run Tailmon in a site-2-site configuration.

amtm WAN service schedule off/on script ?

You might want to try these. service stop_wan Should bring down the wan interface. service start_wan Should bring it back up. I just tested this on an AX58U running 3004.388.6 and it worked fine.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.7 is now available

Quick question. Did you do a Factory Device Reset after loading 3004.388.7? You existing firmware was pretty old. If not, you might want to try one more time. Load 3004.388.7. Do the Factory Reset then reconfigure the router.

ChannelHog - Monitor And Force Maximum 5GHz Bandwidth

I believe Adamm uses the program “wl” to get the present speed. Here is a distilled version. You will need to figure out the eth device for the radio you want to check. In my case, on an AX-88U Pro, 5Ghz is eth7, 2.4 is eth 6. wl -i $1 assoc | grep Chanspec | awk '{print $5}' Paste that one...

ANNOUNCEMENT: Asuswrt-Merlin support underway for 3 Wifi 7 routers

I’ve been going through Linkedin looking for anyone close to being a PLM or partnerships manager. I just sent a message to an Asus Manager of PR and Partnerships at ASUS North America. Maybe he will respond, maybe not…. I’ll keep poking around Linkedin. Keep in mind, there are roughly 40K people...

ANNOUNCEMENT: Asuswrt-Merlin support underway for 3 Wifi 7 routers

Considering Asus cost for some of these routers (not price) and the “stickyness” and brand loyalty some of you developers (and of course @RMerlin ) provide - I would think it a no brainer. Need to find the Product Manager for some of these new ones. And pitch the case!

2 words amtm->YazDHCP Much easier to maintain. Check out the import/export feature. You can edit the exported csv spreadsheet then import back in.

cake-autorate: adding support for Asus Merlin

Thanks. I agree that over the past 6 months it’s been steadily getting better. I will take your advice and leave QOS out of the equation. If my kids were still living at home and streaming away, I would probably give it a shot.

TAILMON TAILMON v1.0.20 -July 27, 2024- WireGuard-based Tailscale Installer, Configurator and Monitor (THREAD #1 CLOSED)

Interesting (but very good) experience with Tailscale/TAILMON. I am running “kind of a” dual wan in my house. I have a T-Mobile Sagemcom modem plugged into an old AX58U with a unique SSID and IP network address range. It came as part of a deal with moving over to T-Mobile phones. It’s pretty...
