genailogs - let Googles AI Analyze your log file(s) (No longer supported - see chatai)

I have re-written a more useful script for analyzing files using AI bots - chatai Plus, the web integration was a nightmare ;-) This code will no longer be supported @aru created a Python script to send /tmp/syslog.log to Googles Gemini AI for it's analysis. I used his original script and...

Issue with GT-AXE11000 firmware not saving. /data partition mounting in read-only.

Try this from the command line: ls -al /data/kernel The .kernel_nvram.setting file permissions should be: rwxr-xr-x If your missing the first “w” - I would reboot and try again.

Utilize the robot to assist in analyzing router logs.

Good idea. I just add an "update" function. Much easier going forward. I'll create a new thread. You original idea lives on!

amtm amtm 4.9 - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu, June 30, 2024 (locked thread)

BTW, thanks for the “Reuse previous” feature. Some of us that have far too many Entware apps installed think this feature of AMTM is up there with BACKUPMON. Can’t function without some of the coreutils ;-)

Utilize the robot to assist in analyzing router logs.

Ok, looking for guinea pigs (aka beta testers)! As @aru said, I used his original script and was somewhat impressed with the results from Google Gemini AI. ~80% pretty good comments, a few, well, somewhat interesting ;-) The original script was based on python. Knowing that some will not want...

Utilize the robot to assist in analyzing router logs.

And as we feed them our syslog files, it gets better. I installed and am tinkering with this script. I will say that the more I send logs, the more clear it gets. Im not learning much new, but I would say that for others it might be very useful.

Skynet Practice displaying a world map on a webpage using an addon-api.

I get a nice looking map but the python scripts keeps getting this error:

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Thread Closed!)

I was more thinking along the lines of file permissions. The log showed it failing at or around a file. Just wondering.

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Thread Closed!)

I wonder about file permissions? I'm pretty sure NFS has it's own idea about file access. SMB might be easier. Not sure. Again, maybe @ColinTaylor or someone else more familiar with NFS can opine

Current plans regarding separate version branches

Interesting discussion on expectations on electronic gear with respect to time. When I think of my much more expensive “electronics” like TV, AV Receiver, mobile phone, I get software updates for 18 months at most. And new features? - be serious ;-) But when it comes to a relatively lower cost -...

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Thread Closed!)

@Viktor Jaep - quick question. Does BACKUPMON do anything with nvram? More - does it do any nvram set commands? Im planing on doing some testing with @Martinski SaveRestoreNVRAM script.

RTRMON RTRMON v1.6.9 -May 3, 2024- Monitor your Router's Health (New: AMTM, Network Conn/Bandwidth/Diag + Port Scanner + Speedtest) [NEW THREAD OPENED]

Looks great! Now, not to be greedy or ungrateful, what are your thoughts on an email notification when disk space (/dev/sdX and /jffs) gets to a high threshold? Now we can debate the threshold level ;-)

[ASK] Addons to monitor USB Capacity Over GUI

As a former engineer (SW) that worked with a bunch of hardware engineers, I have to agree with @Tech9 (except the remark about addons ;-) Without access to the Broadcom data sheets, which like most of their sw is very closed source, you won’t really know the true thermal characteristics of the...

[ASK] Addons to monitor USB Capacity Over GUI

I believe email notification of high storage and/or memory usage would be the value. Eye-candy plus pro-active notifications - win/win.

[ASK] Addons to monitor USB Capacity Over GUI

IMHO, this would be the primary benefit of a script like requested. As @ColinTaylor mentioned there are a few places where you can find the available free space. But that requires one to check it periodically - and in my case, I don’t often enough!!! A scripts that checks USB (and /jffs) free...

Is it possible to update all addons through the GUI?

Uuuhhmmm, demand? From addon developers that don’t charge any money and do this for the benefit of the users here? I would recommend that you “gently” ask, request that the developer consider this or - even fork the addon code and add it.
