Solved Updating to 386.9 broke DDNS and port forwarding. AC68U

After I have recently updated my AC-68U to 386.9 (from 386.7-ish) I noticed that DDNS provider setting are reset to ASUS.COM and all port forwarding records are gone. Trying to add port forwarding records does nothing — newly added disappear once I refresh the page. And DDNS provider settings...

Can't make apcupsd to see UPS via USB-to-serial cable

Hello, I am trying to make my APC 1000INET work with the AC68U directly via the genuine DB9-to-USB cable. It works perfectly fine with apcupsd on a Linux box but doesn't on the router. Once device is connected, here is what I see in the system log /tmp/syslog.log … Dec 7 17:28:14 kernel...

    Revoked Let's Encrypt

Hi, Did anyone experienced the problem when Let's Encrypt certificate was revoked almost two month before its expiration date? I didn't make any major changes in the router configuration, maybe only closed the WAN GUI access but I do not expect this to cause SSL cert revocation… or should I?

List of legitimate processes on router

I recently noticed a binary running from /tmp and found out that the router has hacked. It is sort of self-installing trojan or something, whatever. I was able to track it down and cleanup its loader from /jffs However, during the discovery I realized that it there is a lot of processes which...

    NTP doesn't start

I'm using AC68U and since approximately 380.66 I noticed that after hardware restart ntp doesn't come up, leaving router running in its default time — starting 8/1/2015 This breaks VPN server capabilities, since none of the certificates are effective yet to 2015. Is there places to check why...

    Dual-WAN connections issue

I'm using AC68U on 380.66_4 and have two WAN providers in Load Balancing configuration, both via PPPoE. Primary (100MBps) is connected to WAN and secondary (70MBps) into LAN1. The problem is that when I have both ISPs up&running, I notice generally significant lag in sites responses. Sites will...

    AC68U and Apple TV

Just got new router (after old good WL500gP) and expected one to work as promoted — with iTunes support. So did all per manual, which actually worked. Then put some stuff from my local iTunes library onto the disk connected to the router (some mp3, mp4 and m4v files) and after one scanned...
