    I installed Merlin 3004.388.8_2-gnuton1, and it works now! But I don't think it's really down to Merlin. It occurred to me that the VLAN 7 ‘tag’ for Deutsche Telekom may only be set in one device (modem or router). Not in both. Then I thought: Maybe the Asus DSL-AX82U really needs the VLAN 7...
