Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 is now available

Could this be the issue? And if yes, since I use default settings, can we do something about it for the average user? Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 is now available

Hi, I am having problems to update from 386.1_2. Every time I go to the Firmware Upgrade tab, it automatically starts the Firmware Downloading... and gets stuck there. It is the first time that I see it possible to do automatic updates (I was waiting for that feature). I tried on Brave and...

Solved High lag on NordVPN - RT-AC86U

Mystery solved. Apparently with openvpn for android, having an old server config will result in a dns that is not the one expected with the vpn server nor the ones I tried to force in. This arbitrary dns seems to be superslow and causing the reported issues. A newer config to another server...

Solved High lag on NordVPN - RT-AC86U

Hi, in the latest couple of weeks, some time after I updated to latest Merlin after over an year (with factory reset), I noticed that when connected with nordVPN, the connection, beside being a little slower than without VPN (no surprise here), has a very high response time. I noticed it because...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

For me it was connecting to the wifi, but was saying no internet (while there was for random other devices). Going down it didn't happen anymore to my devices from 384.13, but my wife still complains about her Pixel 2xl.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

Hi, AC86U here. Last month I dirty flashed like I usually do a couple of versions after a long while, and I started noticing frequent internet outages on wifi (both 2.4 or 5ghz) on most of my devices, but could not reproduce a pattern. Initially I thought it was my internet provider unable to...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

I am not sure I was trying to fix that issue, but perhaps yes, and I had to add to nat-start "iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s "10.8.0.0/24" -j MASQUERADE"

I have to update my signature. 1-0 for you. You initially asked for AC86 (which I have now), then edited to AC68. 1-1 :)

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Maybe worth mentioning: when I have some server acting weird, it doesn't make any sense, and logs are not growing, it is often missing space on disk. Can it be that you have something eating resources?

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

I have the feeling that my phones have lag while playing clash royale compared with the n66u with John's fork. I enabled most of the security options avaliable on the ac86u, and I suspect disabling some feature would do the trick, but since there several wifi complaints on this version I...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

Do you know what is ASUS reason to limit the signal strength? They just wanted to make aimesh more needed? :)

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

After a few days with my new ac86u with latest merlin I am a bit underwhelmed by the visibly weaker signal (at least 5ghz) I get across the house compared with my previous n66u with John's fork. So far I didn't really have a problem with it, but I might try to flash the fork here as well just...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

Latest. It was connecting until morning, when I replaced the n66u with the ac86u, and eventually again when I fixed channel 36.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

I wonder up to which channel the n66u was going. I already packed it and cannot check :)
