    Well my original question still holds... Length of support I was asking for... and still am... Got in another forum an interesting pointer that in UK vendors must tell how long they support devices at launch of product... and Asus has therefore a page for this...

    How do you see it: in buying a new router, AX or BE generation router if long time support (firmwares etc.) wanted? As we (wife and I) mainly work from home, with sensitive material (using company VPN's of course on our work-laptops) - a working, reliable, supported router is a must for us...

    Volume or Disk Group?

    Just bought a DS412+ with 2 WD30EFRX hard-drives. Reading the manual :eek: in chapter 4 they describe to ways of managing storage space: Volume and Disk group Which one should one use? System is for home network usage, with plan to get more hard drives as needed (and then migrate to RAID 5)...

    AFAIK - yes you can... Just as an example - here is a link to QNAP products and their RAID migration & expansion. So you can begin with RAID 1 as you have 2 disks and when you buy disk #3 you can change to RAID 5. As we apparently are in similar situation... let's keep each others updated...
