Voxel support on newer Orbi units?

Sorry, I guess I assumed that Netgear unified their software somehow. Of course they wouldnt and you'd need the specific unit for each one. Thanks! I'll donate of course, your software has been great.

Voxel support on newer Orbi units?

Hey Voxel, Before I found your firmware, my RBR50's were a nightmare. Constantly had to reboot, and generally just a terrible expirience. Is there any plans for you supporting their newer quad band units? I cant stand Netgear's support and software as they come from the factory! My RBR50's are...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.13.1SF-HW

Do you guys recommend fast roaming on or off? What about Mu-mimo and beam forming? I'm in ap mode with 3 devices on the network. Hub and spoke with the orbit router in the center of the house and the two sats on both ends. I feel like my phone holds onto the ap's for too long instead of...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.13.1SF-HW

Thanks, really enjoying the updates and appreciate it. Is it scary to you what condition they leave it in? Do you get the feel that they don't care, or maybe just overworked?

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.13.1SF-HW

Thank you! If you've disabled circle etc in a previous firmware, does it maintain those settings if you do not factory reset?

    Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.12.1SF-HW

Thanks, I will let it run, it does seem stable up until now. I am just dealing with past Orbi trauma ;)

    Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.12.1SF-HW

Thank you for these! Does it make sense to maybe have a way to set up auto reboots overnight to maintain speed and stability of the Orbi? I know you are basically using their firmware and stripping some things out, could this just give us more time between reboots due to a memory leak or...

    Netgear Orbi Firmware 1.12.0.18 issues

The new s8 update is out as of yesterday and resolves this. I wonder what had to be changed?

    Netgear Orbi Firmware 1.12.0.18 issues

Yep, looks like the "fix" right now is to connect them to the guest network. I wonder why this is a fix, I wonder if the guest network doesnt get some features applied.

    Netgear Orbi Firmware 1.12.0.18 issues

Anyone having galaxy s8 issues with connectivity to orbi? All my other devices seem ok, but the s8 keeps getting disconnected; the backhaul is really awesome.

    Linksys EA8500 as Access Point

Actually, you dont have to jump through hoops. Set it for wired "bridge mode" and youll be set. This is how I run mine and its not the same as wireless bridge mode, which does cut bandwidth in half.

    Quantenna - QSR1000 - MU-MIMO ever ship from them?

It's solid, yes the ea8500. However, I only use it as an access point. I have a dedicated firewall for QOS, firewall etc. I used the ac87 the same way and it was unstable. The linksys just runs, although it looks like it has less options for you to tweak if you are into that or need it to handle...

    Linksys EA8500 Max-Stream AC2600 MU-MIMO Smart Wi-Fi Router Reviewed

I never use wireless for anything gaming related. Its just never reliable. Pings are always higher than wired. What you need is a firewall to control the quality of service, and use the access point just for wireless. Thats what I do. Control who gets what bandwidth at what priority (im using...

    Linksys EA8500 Max-Stream AC2600 MU-MIMO Smart Wi-Fi Router Reviewed

same here, its kind of boring, its just working. I dont have to tweak anything and I'm getting great speed and reliability. No cooling fans, no nothing like the 87u. I cant believe asus, being an "enthusiast" brand, could mess things up so bad.
