    Thanks for the help I will try the Merlin software, hopefully the heat issue is just a normal thing.

    Thanks, I should try that, now I had heard that you can user 3rd party software in the router ( i heard about Merlin, Tomato?, etc..) My question is can i revert back to oem software afterwards if for whatever reason 3rd party software is unstable etc? I am guessing 3rd party software should...

    Just got RTN66u, gets hot, is this normal?

    Hey guys I just got the Asus RTN66U and I had read about this router getting hot before so I knew to expect that. The router is working great, I am getting great speeds and the connection has not dropped once yet (only had it running for about 22 hours). I have gotten trough 2 other routers...
