    IPTV stops after 260 seconds

Hmm, it seems like AX68U with newer firmware uses mcpd (instead of igmpproxy ac68u), since iptv starts streaming even when everything @ LAN-IPTV page set to disabled/off. But it stops after 260 seconds no matter what. Killing and starting mcpd stops and resume upd multicast streaming...

    IPTV stops after 260 seconds

The problem lies somewhere in igmpproxy. If I kill it and start again - streaming continues. Somehow igmpproxy is not functioning correctly. Here is the similar issue with igmpproxy https://forum.netgate.com/topic/101178/igmpproxy-stream-stops-after-4-mins I tried turning snooper on and off - no...

    IPTV stops after 260 seconds

Maybe, but since VLC player is working fine when plugged directly, there is no problem with any type of join or heartbeats, right? Tried everything - nothing helps. No, carrier not listed in profiles, also I tried all LAN->IPTV settings, still stops. Also, I tred UDP Proxy (UDPxy) on that...

    IPTV stops after 260 seconds

Hello! Internet provided via GPON bridge HG8310M. There are some VLANs: 0, 1, 30, 32, 60, 4081. If I plug my PC directly into the bridge, VLC plays udp://@239.255.*.*:5500 "forever". If I connect my pc via AX68U lan1 port VLC plays ok, but stops playing after 4:16 seconds, which is around 260...

Youtube ad blocking for all devices and apps on LAN

Hi! YouTube AdTube dns adblocking is no longer effective. The idea is to setup dedicated VM on LAN with MITMProxy AdBlock https://github.com/dekoza/mitmproxy-adblock and route all HTTP & HTTPS traffic from all devices via mitmproxy. How to configure Merlin on AX router to proxy all 80 & 443...

    [HOWTO]Debian Weezy for AC68 and AC56 + OwnCloud

Error 500 is usually php error. Have a look at webserver logs. Also, it could be permissions problem, check which permissions uses http server and files in web directory.

    Usb hdd mount problem

Label your partitions to make booting Linux and mounting partitions far easier http://www.shcherbyna.com/?p=1020 Or just use google http://bit.ly/1i9uI5E

    SSH Tunneling

Also you have to enable tunneling (allow ssh port forwarding) for ssh in web gui.

    Usb hdd mount problem

It is well known "feature". Use labels to access usb disks.

    [HOWTO]Debian Weezy for AC68 and AC56 + OwnCloud

If somebody want to make swap partition instead of swap file (althouth rumors say that performance is the same) here is what i've found. First, you have to shrink your ext4 drive with gprarted and create new swap partition (type 82 swap). Let's assume it will become sda2 (please double check...

    [HOWTO]Debian Weezy for AC68 and AC56 + OwnCloud

Issue with pts is that it is not mounted properly using only /dev mount and should be mounted explicitly as /dev/pts. Otherwise /dev/pts couldn't be accessed from chroot and some errors will pop out, although I don't know if are they critical or not. When I added bind to /dev/pts errors are gone.

    [HOWTO]Debian Weezy for AC68 and AC56 + OwnCloud

I also remember reading something about multipartition disks. But we are talking about mbr + 1 ext partition and 1 swap partition. Will it work stable enough only RMerlin can tell us!

    [HOWTO]Debian Weezy for AC68 and AC56 + OwnCloud

If sleep 10 in script is used to wait for usb drive to mount - it is bad idea and it doesn't always work! It is better to move script to post-mount, it runs after services-start in my tests. Also, there is a problem with /dev/pts add mount -o bind /dev/pts /mnt/sda1/debian/dev/pts Thanks to...

    [HOWTO]Debian Weezy for AC68 and AC56 + OwnCloud

What if i want to run multiple services when router reboots: like http, mysql etc. Do you I have to execute each service with chroot or better run some bash script using chroot, which will run all my services? Or is it just the same?

    [HOWTO]Debian Weezy for AC68 and AC56 + OwnCloud

Just quick addition. It is better to use volume labels instead of sda1. Coz drive can jump to sda1 sda2 sdb1 sdb2... But it is always accessible on the same path when connected using volume label.

    [HOWTO]Debian Weezy for AC68 and AC56 + OwnCloud

Maybe it is better to use another small partition for swapfile performance-wise? Instead of tinyproxy have a look at 3proxy. It smaller, faster, simpler. I use it on my ubuntu server where squid just dies... http://www.3proxy.ru/?l=EN

    [HOWTO]Debian Weezy for AC68 and AC56 + OwnCloud

Very nice, coz *ware is outdated. But I have some newbie questions, i have never ever used chroot and other "advanced" unix tricks: What about RAM consumption, is it shared with router? Does it need swap space on hdd? What about router performance? What about extra heating when using torrents...

Try reflash, then factory defaults. It worked for me - but I usually do the longer way: factory def before flash. flash. def again. Such habit from old dlink buggy adsl router...
