RT-N66U + Motorola SURFboard + Charter Communications = fail

I have the same setup SB6121 & RT-N66U. I also have my old D-Link 624. Hooking the SB to the Asus unit fails, the Link light stays blue instead of turning to yellow. But if I hook the D-Link to the modem, and the RT to the D-Link, everything is fine. My reset interval (the time to power off...
