    Chalk this up to random, I have 2 NIC's on my mobo... tried the other one and the upload speeds are normal. That NIC must be shot. Thanks for the replies everyone!

    The issue is resolved as far as the uploading of the firmware is concerned. I was having antivirus/firewall issues, temporarily disabling that solved the problem. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Thanks Merlin! That worked. I disabled avast and it seemed to like it better. Now a different problem, my upload speed is about 10% of what it should be. This is on a fresh flash, with the newest drivers for my NIC. The speeds on wireless are fine. I know there's a lot of problems with jumbo...
