GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

I got the machine in machine like a year ago, and honestly I've never updated the BIOS. I guess I'll try that too once I'm able to reach a level where there are no disconnections. Thanks for the tip! Fortunately, since disabling 802.11ax / Wifi 6 mode, I haven't had any disconnections on any of...

GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

Actually I have the Surface Laptop 4, which was released in 2021, not Surface Pro 4.

GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

Actually from what I saw, the 160 Mhz setting for the 5G SSID is enabled by default, however disabling that didn't fix the disconnects. Actually it did prevent disconnects for 24+ hours (longest streak I've gone without a disconnect), but then I did a bunch of other settings that I usually have...

GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

So are you saying that the AX201 has trouble using the 160 MHz band with this GT-AXE11000 router ? Would disabling the 160 MHz band on the AX201 fix this issue (and is it even possible to do this) ? But this won't explain why I experienced disconnects when I disabled the AX201 and used an...

GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

Yes I updated the bluetooth driver too. So are you suggesting the problem is with the AX201 and not the router ? Note that as I mentioned above, I also tried using this external Wifi adapter and the problematic PC still has disconnects when using this adapter to connect to the same router. So...

GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

Tried this and the steps in your previous post, but they don’t help. I still get disconnects :(

GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

Thanks for your help and I hate to disappoint, but I installed these drivers, rebooted, and within minutes I experienced another 14 second disconnection :/ And now I'm using a much more recent driver version: Also yesterday I tried another Wifi adapter (this one), and I still experienced...

GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

    Not sure. It's a Surface Laptop 4 and it's online specs just say "Wi-Fi 6: 802.11ax compatible"

GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

Hi guys. I returned my previous ASUS GT-AX11000 that I was trying out and instead got its big brother, the ASUS GT-AXE11000. It's working fine however I notice that one specific Windows laptop on my network keeps disconnecting/reconnecting randomly 5-10 times a day, where every disconnect is...

GT-AX11000 5G SSID keeps disappearing or not responding

Okay, so this happened again today. This time I didn't restart router right away and waited to see if it would self-recover. As before, only the first 5G band became unresponsive, during which time it exhibited weird behavior such as the following: 1) I can connect to the SSID but can't browse...

GT-AX11000 5G SSID keeps disappearing or not responding

Another thing perhaps worth pointing out is that in the case of this ASUS AX-11000 router, it's always the first 5G SSID (i.e. 5G-1) that blanks out. The 2.4G and the second 5G SSID (i.e. 5G-2) still keep working.

GT-AX11000 5G SSID keeps disappearing or not responding

hehe, yes I have experienced this issue before, however I've used two TP-Link routers between then and now, Archer A7 & AX11000, and I didn't have this issue with either of them. The A7 was my router for at least 3 years and I never faced this issue. Recently I decided to try out the AX11000's...

GT-AX11000 5G SSID keeps disappearing or not responding

I'm trying out a new ASUS GT-AX11000 and I have this issue that the 5G SSID keeps disappearing or not responding (i.e. no internet connectivity on it). All devices on my network (e.g. phones, smart devices, computers) notice this. I'm using the latest Asus firmware and I reset to factory...

Wireless router with good coverage for a large home ?

You make a good point, however honestly I won't mind testing out maybe up to 3 routers. If I test upto 3 routers and they all fail, then I'd be totally okay accepting the AX11000. But if I don't do this, I'll always have a bad feeling that I spent more money on something I didn't really need...

Wireless router with good coverage for a large home ?

Until recently, I had the Archer A7. For my use it's pretty good, however its Wifi coverage drops significantly once I'm about 2-3 bedrooms away. At the furthest distance, I'm about 30-40 feet away with about 4 walls between me and the router. So recently I decided to upgrade to the TP-Link...

Does TP-Link AX11000 have an internet bandwidth monitor ?

I recently bought the TP-Link AX11000 router. It's a good router, very fast from my previous Archer A7, however per my knowledge it doesn't have an internet traffic / bandwidth monitor which tells me which device on my network has consumed how much internet upload/download bandwidth in the past...

RAX48 (AX5200) 5Ghz band stops working randomly after few days

No I'm still seeing the same issue. I've seen it multiple times in fact. Will be returning this router I think.
