Port Forwarding not working on RT-N66U

Well, as the title suggests, I can't get port forwarding to work. I just wanted to open up port 25569 for an app, but no matter what I try, it still shows as closed when I use sites like this. In the past it used to be simple enough through the router, but it doesn't work. I've tried a reboot...

    RT-N66U DLNA Issue

Well, I managed to find a work around. I relented and connected both HD's to my PC and installed Plex server. Problem is 100% solved since my PC is on most of the day anyway. Not to mention thumbnails and other information. There was also a Plex app for my LG TV, double bonus.

    RT-N66U DLNA Issue

Well I surrender. It still sometimes vanishes from dlna view on my TV and once again a reboot of the router will cause a rescan of all my files. I feel like smashing it up.

    RT-N66U DLNA Issue

From what I can fathom (what I know about Linux isn't worth knowing), I followed the instructions. It would seem that the files will ALWAYS need to be on the USB drive in the device? Both my HD's are not ext3, they are fat32 and I have no means of copying the stuff off to reformat the drives. I...

    RT-N66U DLNA Issue

Well. I ended up installing Tomato for a while and that, for the most part, fixed my DLNA issues. But other performance issues has brought be back to the Merlin build. The same issue is here however. Once again the server decided for whatever reason (but I think it is linked to when I add new...

    RT-N66U DLNA Issue

Interesting. I will give this a try and report back. One final thing, will this version you linked fix the mysterious disappearing dlna issue? This is my current setup using JFFS. I thought this would fix the rescan issues, but I can see no advantage. But the most annoying is the fact...

    RT-N66U DLNA Issue

Update: It would appear that locating the DLNA folder to one of my HD's didn't help. I rebooted the router to test if this worked better but instead the router once again has to re-scan all files. I have 2 drives, named Alpha and Bravo, Since rebooting after relocating the DLNA files, Alpha...

    RT-N66U DLNA Issue

Hi I'm using Firmware:374.40 (Merlin build) on an RT-N66U. I've noticed (even on stock firmware) that after so many days the DLNA server will just not work. The router page shows it on and idle but nothing can find it, mainly my TV. The solution is to reboot the router, but of course that...

Trouble sharing both USB drives over network

Yup I've just tried it now and it works. Long as there is no spaces it will show up on my TV correctly named.

Trouble sharing both USB drives over network

I am having a small issue with this. This issue has happened for a while now. Basically for unknown reasons, my LG TV will suddenly stop seeing the router and its attached HD's. Although my PC and laptop can see the HD's fine, the TV will stop. This means I have to reboot the router and then...

Trouble sharing both USB drives over network

Brilliant! Just what I need. It is so far working perfect. Also while I was changing settings, something weird happened... Then I spotted the date. Try it for yourself :p

Trouble sharing both USB drives over network

It was because I named the 2nd drive incorrectly and the router just assigned it a name. It's not really called that. I'm thinking about even trying another firmware, tomato or DDWRT. Maybe that could solve it, but the last time I tried DDWRT, I bricked my router

Trouble sharing both USB drives over network

Using RT-N66U 374.40 (Merlin build). I assumed that with 2 usb ports on the device, I could connect 2 drives to it and share them properly. With the 2 drives, I can see them both fine on the PC. But my LG "smart" tv wants the media server to show up properly. As you can see above, the only way...

    Trouble mounting usb drive

It is working fine now. Apart from the name. After I'm done with it, I will connect it to laptop again and rename it to something else, hopefully this wont ruin it. Thanks for the information!

    Trouble mounting usb drive

To be fair, I did use spaces. I has it named "1.3TB Media Drive". Here is the log: Mar 28 13:44:03 kernel: usb 1-1.2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 6 Mar 28 13:44:03 kernel: usb 1-1.2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Mar 28 13:44:03 kernel: scsi3 : SCSI...

    Trouble mounting usb drive

I did indeed use Windows. Both drives connected are NTFS. Ive clicked the link and removed and re-inserted the drive to no avail. I will connect it to my laptop and run a dskchk just to be sure. Update: dskchk found no errors. After the fifth re-format the drive now works. Maybe it was...

    Trouble mounting usb drive

I was originally on stock firmware and had a 1TB drive connected to the router. This showed up perfect. I connected a 1.3TB drive which also showed up. But the drive was full of other stuff since it was my old drive and the name of the drive was non descript. I plugged it into my laptop...
