Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.8_4 is now available

This is 250/30 fibre, I did try from 1Mbps all the way through on this and last version of merlin, DL fine, it's the upload that doesn't stick or work at any setting. Thanks for tip though. "If you don't know the provider's wan packet overhead values," I could try to find that. thanks.

Can anyone test this on the AX86u pro?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.8_4 is now available

Think might be a bug for QoS, the download seems to apply and stick, the upload either doesnt appy or stick or both? Same issue as previous version https://www.snbforums.com/threads/ax86u-merlin-and-cake-qos.91611/

    AX86U Merlin and Cake QoS

The Ax86u is only one. The actiontec r3000 is collecting dust. Turns out was not pppoe. Was something else. Just had to copy Mac over to Ax86u and manually put in vlan and worked.

    AX86U Merlin and Cake QoS

Maybe, but I have a printer, a NAS, a switch, an AP, etc. The stock bell router was a bit challenging with that, but something to test I suppose. As for the AX86U I bought it a year before I changed over to fibreop.

    AX86U Merlin and Cake QoS

Ya, I don't really need it for everyday stuff, has been not much of an issue for everyday use w/o QoS. Loaded tests were strange without QoS as in 100ms to 1200ms and all over the place. My old cable (900/10) never on QoS was never like that, but this 250/30 fibreop is (the highest speed I can...

Download did yes. Upload never worked with Cake QoS until I put in your code.

    AX86U Merlin and Cake QoS

Interesting, so that a merlin bug or cake bug or both? Edit - when you say persist, does that mean on a reboot the cake upload will revert to being off/disabled?

I guess the only question I have now is can I manually edit the speeds in the router GUI and will it pick it up? thanks

    AX86U Merlin and Cake QoS

Tried 5, 10 etc. same thing. Odd thing is the speed tests are still hitting 30Mbps+ even with qos set to 5 or 10 and the loaded ping is all over the place for upload.
