    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 52E7

I'm running 374.43_53D7j9527 beta on RT-AC66U and it hasn't burned down my garage as of this writing. 😅

    Beta [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 53D1

@john9527 Thank you for all your work, John! You have kept so many routers from ending in a landfill with these firmware updates.

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Perhaps I am describing it wrong. :p I've been using this country block script which blocks incoming IPs from certain countries. I can still access content and websites from blocked countries if the connection is outgoing. The downside to the script is that it has a 64k hard limit which...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Is there a way to limit country ban to inbound connections only?

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

I'm filtering only inbound traffic but Skynet's country ban isn't respecting the policy of inbound filtering and is blocking even outbound traffic to the banned country. Am I doing something wrong here? Or is this how the Skynet is intended to function?

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I have been using 41E5, and 41E6 now, since their release and these development releases are very stable much like other builds from John.

    Country blocking script

I've been thinking about this. Its simply inefficient to block individual countries when what we really need is to whitelist a country/state/province. Its easier to block all incoming IP addresses with the exception of the whitelist.

    Country blocking script

I use PPTP VPN for old android devices. I know its not the most secure protocol so I tend to block IP addresses from countries where I get port scans from like China, Russia, US, etc. Though for some odd reasons, even after I've blocked US, I still see attempts from the US in the logs. I...

    Country blocking script

What would be the best way to use the Privacy list (https://gitlab.com/swe_toast/privacy-filter/raw/master/privacy-filter.list), which blocks shodan.io, in custom.lst?

I meant the Microsoft telemetry servers are blocked in the script. Should have been more specific. Sorry! :D @john9527 Thank you, John! You rock!

Yea, I thought it might be the modem but I wanted to check off all other possibilities first. I just noticed Merlin blocks Microsoft telemetry servers however I took out that part in my script.

My N66U has been acting up ever since I flashed 19E3. Symptoms: A yellow error sign shows up on the wireless icon in the notification area stating that internet is no longer available After running the "Troubleshoot problems" wizard, I'm told that DNS is no longer responding The router's...

If you wipped the router before flashing, TX power should be default which I think is 80mW. You can use nvram get to see the current value: nvram get wl_txpower nvram get wl0_txpower nvram get wl1_txpower

I have PIA and I've been trying to figure out how to configure VPN for specific IP addresses through the router. I'd appreciate if you can give me a few pointers.

Does this make always-on VPN for specific IP addresses turn key?

You're not alone. Heck I was thinking of flashing Tomato for the heck of it. @john9527 has spoiled us all with v11.
