Problems with switch to AT&T fiber

Using "AiMesh", 2.5G between them. "Use Ethernet cables to connect the LAN port of your main AiMesh router to the WAN port of each AiMesh node"

Problems with switch to AT&T fiber

Keeps getting weirder. My T-mobile gateway has a local address and works. The AT&T one started with 99.29. This one, right?

Problems with switch to AT&T fiber

I have factory reset the gateway twice and tried all the advice here, to no avail. What could cause such specific site problems every time? Is there any point in factory resetting the router?

Problems with switch to AT&T fiber

I did correct the lease time and disabled the firewall features as stated in the "how to use your own router..." link. Nice graphics @aex.perez, that should come in handy. Unfortunately, I'm still in the same boat. In desperation, I've tried disabling the router firewall, all of the AI...

Problems with switch to AT&T fiber

My comment on disabling DHCP on the gateway was misguided (stupid) and you can see in the pic the router was given the first number in the pool, 64. I too, was surprised the default lease is 10 minutes but jumped into firewall settings before calling it a day. Thanks to everyone and I will...

Problems with switch to AT&T fiber

That is my layout. Still no go after this. Wasn't in the pulldown, added it manually.

Problems with switch to AT&T fiber

I complied with everything above, but still have the problem. The only thing questionable was the passthrough MAC address. When I used the pull down it showed 4 choices but it didn't say which port was which (I moved the cable to each one but no dice). The were preceded by name like my cell...

Problems with switch to AT&T fiber

I would really prefer to keep my LAN ips in 192.168.1.x as I have over 90 devices and I prefer not to change the DHCP reservations and those set manually. So passthrough with my router set to a an unused number in my LAN (it's 192.168.1.1 now)? What gateway and DNS for my LAN members? Turn off...

Problems with switch to AT&T fiber

I've been using a GT-AX6000 with T-Mobile gateway successfully for months, but AT&T fiber just became available so I leapt. It seems to work except for some sites that require authentication (guessing) like Netflix, Sling, Plex and even on AT&T's site that require logging in. When using their...

    Slow access point

I have a cellular service (rural) so the bandwidth and ping time varies by line of site, antenna(s), etc. Ping time was about 80, but for some reason almost doubled when I got a static IP. I previously had a Netgear as the AP and it did the same. I've tried different SSIDs, using same now...

    Slow access point

Possibly notable, when the speed test begins the rate climbs rapidly like all is well, then in a couple of seconds it drops in an orderly fashion to 3Mbps or below as though I'm being throttled.

    Slow access point

I have 2 RT-AC68Us with the second setup as an access point to cover more distance. Whenever I connect wirelessly to the AP, the speed is no more than 3Mbps (both bands) in fits and spurts (40-50 is normal). Always full speed on the main router. Both are on the same subnet using channels 1...

Need basic routing help for router behind modem

Jeez. In the process of trying different things, I had put an entry in "port mapping" as well as port forwarding. Deleted that and all is well. Thanks loads!

Need basic routing help for router behind modem

Browsing port 8443 on the Asus in the modem's DMZ works. Do I need forwarding in the modem?

Need basic routing help for router behind modem

I had attributed the problem to CGNAT then and gave up, but forgot I'd asked here before. Sorry. As before, the modem has no routing features or bridged mode, only a DMZ. I guess the VPN solution would also be blocked by this?

Need basic routing help for router behind modem

Just added a static IP to my cellular (CGNAT) account in hopes of viewing my LAN cameras remotely. The modem is functionally limited, so I kept my 68U behind it. I've enabled port forwarding and tried a DMZ, but so far no go. It worked for years when I was on DSL, so I'm sure of the nvr/port...
