    Thanks. I missed that. I didn't realize the 209+II was discontinued. I had finally settled on that one. I don't really see them when I do a Google search either. Is there a direct replacement? I settled on the 209+II over the 209 because of some of the features like eSATA backup...

    Getting blurry eyed from reading all the different specs. If I'm down to the DS209+ II or the TS210 which one will be the more useful machine over the long haul and which one is the better perfomer?

    Thanks for the input. That's the sense I'm getting. It's too bad, because they're units are quite compelling feature wise. So down to QNAP, Synology, Netgear.

    Stupid question about # of bays

    Thanks for the information. I'm closing in on my choice between the DS209+ II, the TS219P, N3200 Pro (or N0503). Haven't ruled out the NVX, but the cost has me thrown off a bit.

    If I have a 3 bay NAS how would that be configured? I understand a 2 bay system with a RAID 1 setup, I think. But what happens when there are 3 drives? And if I have a 3 bay system do I have to use 3 drives? Thanks for the help.
