    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.51 is out

Thanks Merlin, Edit. All working after turning on JFFS on and rebooting

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.51 is out

378.51 working well for me on an RT-AC68U. The only one issue that I have is that, if I go to the Traffic Analyzer, I lose the web interface and get the message ....... "Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh. Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 Beta 2 is out

Beta 2 working well for me on RT-AC68U in AP mode although the Network Map/Clients display is still incorrect (as per Beta1). I can check the wireless counts against the number of devices shown in the SystemLog/Wireless log. The count matches that log but the actual Map/Clients display does...

    [CLOSED] Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 Beta 1 is out

Per his post, I think he's referring to the "counts" at the top of the diagram (not the graphs) and I think he's correct. Edit. Sorry, I see your point now . Now I'm a little confused by the figures.

    [CLOSED] Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 Beta 1 is out

One or two other more savvy posters might be able to give you more details but everything I've ever read says that it's something that can be simply ignored. I get those messages on both my RT-AC68U (Merlin firmware) and my DSL-AC68U (Asus firmware) devices.

    [CLOSED] Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 Beta 1 is out

That message has been raised numerous times in various forums. I've never seen a complete explanation as to why it occurs but it seems to be pretty much business as usual for these devices. It's a good reason to go in and clear the log every few days.

    [CLOSED] Asuswrt-Merlin 378.50 Beta 1 is out

RT-AC68U in AP mode (with some fixed DHCP addresses). I have found that, in the Client Status screen, the Wired and Wireless heading counts do not always match the actual number of displayed wired and wireless devices. On some occasions, the counts actually show negative numbers eg...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

Thanks for the quick response. Maybe just lock direct access to local IPs except the Gateway. I don't proclaim to be an internals expert so I'll defer to your far greater technical expertise but maybe it's something that you can consider to see if there's a way to do it. It would certainly be...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

Currently running _5 and very happy with it. I'm sure this question has been asked before but the one gripe I have with the RT-AC68U is that, in WAP mode (Asus and Merlin), the Guest network does not enable LAN isolation. I realise that the firewall etc is turned off when using the device in...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

Thank you for the response. I had already managed to get the Asus 3813 firmware to upgrade by using the rescue utility although, having done that, there's nothing in it for me (I'm only using the RT as a WAP) so I'll be reverting back to Merlin. Can you please confirm that, having successfully...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

Thanks for that - sounds like good advice. As it turns out, I found the Rescue utility and it appears to have done the trick. I'm now back on Asus 3.0.0.4.378_3813 (just for my own amusement) but, since I only use it as an AP, I'm think I'm probably better off with the Merlin firmware (I like...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

HI. I'm new to this forum but not new to networking. I have both a DSL-AC68U and an RT-AC68U (Merlin 376.49_5). The latter is used as an AP only. I have been running Merlin on the RT almost since day 1 but, being a new user of these devices, I wanted to test out the latest Asus standard...
