    Router recommendation

I have an AX86U pro at home and been ask to recommend a router for the new Virgin Media install here at work. Aparently its coming from a BT exchange rather than virgin directly and terminates to a switch? Small/medium compuany with 20+ macs/pcs. approx 8 networked printers. approx 15 networked...

    AX86U dead (no power)

My heart just sunk, I actually opened it up yesterday to look for anything blown. Cant believe it, thought it was 12 months like most UK stuff.. Probably no point in attempting it now as Ive pearced the label in the back.

    AX86U dead (no power)

Bought December 2021, went offline a few days ago early hours. Showing no signs of life since. Tried an alternative power adapter with same rating and no power. Anyone know what the likely part could be that failed or possible repair? Loved this router and was working great.

Think Im gonna have to put my ISP (Virgin media UK Hub 3) modem back into router mode for a few days as im guessing its that and see if I can see anything in the the logs while I run ping test. Thanks for https://speed.cloudflare.com/ handy that is, running slower than usual which is why I...

yes first noticed as my son plays FPS games (as do I friday nights) massive ping spikes/disconnects. Streaming goes low res/pixelated. streamed radio disconnects etc. Really weird it is, rebooted router 9.08, it happened on schedule at 9.30. More info, also have an ac68u, currently as meshed...

AX88U Merlin 386.x and 388.1 random WAN disconnects mostly without relevant log entries

25Mb/s up 250Mb/s down. I've tried with and without Adguard (installed via AMTM), with and without entware (usb3 stick). with QOS (cake/adaptive - with manual setting) and without. QOS should prevent data cutting out all together I would think so don't think its that. Ive tried with and without...

AC68U - ADSL for downloads, 4g USB for uploads?

Are you saying that when uploading at full speed your download is being crippled? You might want to look into some sort of quality of service to alleviate that probem.

Thanks Fresh, how would I move this into the file transfer category? I tried the following but still classified the same: ${tc} filter add dev br0 protocol all prio $1 u32 match mark 0x80050004 0xc03f0000 flowid ${Downloads} #Newsgroups

    Noob afraid to upgrade Merlin

Personally that's half the fun, its a risk tinkering with custom firmware for anything. But as long as you have reference to the settings you had and flash the new firmware then restore defaults and reconfigure from scratch it should be fine. Go for it! Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
