    RT-AX86U + Asuswrt-Merlin = 5Ghz broken

I guess i will have to sort it out via UART cable. Meanwhile i will buy another one. If i can fix the first one it will serve well as AiMesh node.

    Questions WAN 10GB Fiber connection

I don't have idea about don't letting you use your LAN DHCP and DNS for clients. I guess there's no other way to get a neutral router. About 10Gbps, no one is capable of checking at home, so it's BS, moreover when you don't have a dedicated strand of optical fiber for you but one you have...

    RT-AX86U + Asuswrt-Merlin = 5Ghz broken

No, invalid firmare. At first i flashed Merlin's firmware and didn't passed the check. I though it was a prevention from Asus to prevent flashing third party firmwares. So i did it via recovery without being conscious that it was the firmware of the RT-AX68U. In the past i did the same mistake...

    RT-AC86 normal temp?

    Web History not working

I've put these commands in the services-start script and Web History is working now, although entries are ordered by url instead of access time as other user reported. Well, that's better than nothing. Thanks! Sent from my XT1635-02 via Tapatalk

Block netflix on one device on 88u

It may be a little tough but you can try this: 1-Open a netflix session and stream something. 2-Monitor ips that netflix is connecting to. 3-Block them in the router's firewall (filling source ip field with your daughter's device ip). 4-If Netflix still works repeat the process looking for...

    AC68 - USB throughput

Just try playing a video file through smb from either a mobile device (with ES File Explorer) or a PC connected directly to the router in order to see if the issue lies on the PLC or the SMB server. Sent from my XT1635-02 via Tapatalk

    Broken power button

LEDs on my RT-AC68 are also very degraded. After 4 years the ones that are 24h lighted on are only visible in dark. I had to switch on the stealth mode to prevent them from failing off completely. Sent from my XT1635-02 via Tapatalk

    Web History not working

Hi. I upgraded my RT-AC68U to 384.3 recently and have just found that web history is not working. It appears blank. Is this happening to anyone else? Any suggestion? Sent from my XT1635-02 via Tapatalk

    SMB2

I've checked SMB vs SMB2 throughput downloading a large file from HDD attached to RT-AC68U SMB: 60MB/s. Almost full CPU and MEM usage (Core1: 75%-85%. Core2: 100%) SMB2: 45-50MB/s. Occasionally it slows down to 0-1MB/s during seconds. Similar CPU/MEM usage (Core1: 60%-75%. Core2: 100%)...

Anybody using these tiny USB 3.0 Flash drives with asusWRT-Merlin?

A 16GB Ultra Fit gets really hot, the 32GB gets even hotter. I don't want to imagine about the heat generated by 128GB & 256GB versions. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Rt_Ac68 with Bootloader 1.0.2.1 firmware question!

As long as your router has already an Asus stock CFE you shouldn't worry about it getting updated (in theory). Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Asus locking down routers to comply with new FCC rules

I think that's because range extenders are receivers, they only have Rx antennas.
