    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 45EC

The isssues continued until next day, it was a router reboot that apparently solved the issues. Never had to do that before with previous releases. Will do so next time. Thanks!

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 45EC

Constant internet disconnects after upgrading to 45EC (from 44EA) today. Have not rebooted, see if that helps.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Quick question, does the wireless scheduler actually work? Not for me, it switches off my radio and never switches it on again. Had the same issue with a previous build (now running 44EA). Thanks.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

My ISP is asking me for my external WAN Mac address of my router, to allow me to use my router instead of their modem. The WAN Mac is not the same as the LAN Mac i guess. How to find this out easily? I was hoping I could find this in the router configuration, but I can't find it. This answer...

That indeed is the issue. I have an internal 10.x WAN address. Seems my ISP modem is routing my internet. I do not see the modem in my apartment block, so I did not realize this.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

First off, thanks John for being back. Much appreciated. Didn't upgrade since 39E3 until I had confirmation it was really you :). Second, I have issues with port forwarding, for the life of me, I can't get it to work. The ports remain closed, as tested by port testing websites. I have tried: -...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Prove that it is John doing this. I stopped updating because I am no longer certain where these builds come from.

I do not trust any non-official release that does not come from John. Until then, 39E3 it is for the time being.

A Quick Note of Thanks to Merlin

John and Merlin deserve a lot of respect, they are the main reason I actually bought two AC68U's in the first place :).

What are the benefits for the AC68u alpha build? Thanks!

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Just updated to 27E5 from 26E4, and I have problems finding my 5G network, it's not or sporadically showing up on my network (e.g. phone/pc). Also, speeds seems to be down considerably for my 2.4G network, only getting around 100 mbs. I did a full factory reset this time (since ages), but this...

So is this the beginning of the end for Merlin/John firmwares or am I overexaggerating?

Thanks John, much appreciated. Bought me a second AC68 just because of your fork.

    ASUS product roadmap

One of the specific reasons I got an ASUS router, is that all US brands are likely infected with NSA backdoors. There has not been such a report for ASUS (yet). Having a Google router would just be the same as handing all your stuff to the NSA (and friendly agencies), on a silver plate.

Any news when v13 final will be released? Very much looking forward to this one :D (uptime v11, 57 days now...)

Finally moved from v7 to 11E1 (after 53 days of ultra-stable uptime), and the 5g connection status now consistently displays 1.0 Gbps (used to be 0.875), great. I remember all the problems I had with my Linksys, and now: nothing to be done. Just enjoying the stability :). Thanks for the effort...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

First off, love the fork, and build 7 has improved speeds and especially website load times significantly, thanks for the great work. Question: does anyone have a comparative speed/signal strength analysis with Merlin's 378.50?
