    CVE-2021-44228 - Log4j RCE 0-day

Some of the replies are funny, though any exploit is not funny. Arguing this or that is the worse is sort of anal IMO. Its like saying I got cancer but its the good kind.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker v4.2.x (see new thread for 4.3.x)

After updating, I cannot get to any of the IM chats in many differing pages. Such as The Hill or Fox. I see this. If I disable Diversion works perfect everywhere. Looking trhough log and adding all URLs I see blocked in the page does not help

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I am not 99% sure. I have done everything and anything including uninstalling WebUI foe Diversion, Skynet and format the drive to catch any bad blocks. However what I did notice if I install uiDivStats it seems to send the CPU up about 10% and memory use up 25%. It pegs CPU from time to time...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I had to completely remove it. For what ever reason, it would after a day or so peg the CPU's at 100% and eat all the memory on my RT-ac68. Reboot all is good for 24 - 48 hours. But oddly this never surfaced until I upgraded to fiber.

    AC86U - fiber , Lan = 900Mb WiFi = 60Mb

desktop class CPU? Do not understand that, unless you are referring to the router Admitting the RT-ac68 is a tad under powered 2core 800mhz, compared to more up to date, it should not no matter what cut the bandwidth down to 100/100. With SPanning tree off it then will register between 3xx and...

    AC86U - fiber , Lan = 900Mb WiFi = 60Mb

Turned off Spanning tree and QOS its not at Gig speed. I disagree with QOS not being needed. QOS is there for a reason, I will establish new rules and validate if we are right or wrong on this. Quick 5 min test update Ya QOS bogs the Asus down to peg both CPUs (Mine RT-ac68u 384-19) Results...

Performance Issue with 1 Gigabit an Router RT-AC68U

Holy crap 2 years later and boom, 1 gig after turning off spanning tree Who'd a thunk. I just turned up 1gig from ziply and found crap for performance. Turned off spanning tree and BOOM

Slow speedtest results on router compare to LAN clients

Min is the same, if I turn off QOS it is still slower but far better. QOS on with rates at 999/999 or 1000/1000 setup results in 100/100 in speed test or above

    AC86U - fiber , Lan = 900Mb WiFi = 60Mb

My Issue is different in a Wired inviroment. I have new ZIPly fiber gig. I set QOS on the Router at 999 or 1000 and I get 100 up and down no matter what. I remove QOS and band width returnes RT-ac68u latest Merlin build Yes everything is setup as gig on my ports

I think you are correct. Been lurking and watching. Shame really. But John probably has good reasons and things change. Personally I hope he is OK and for what ever reason the stop is secondary over his well being. I appreciate all he has done thus far for this project. I will be moving...

Work Around/FIX for Wireless Bridge losing connection every 24hrs

I have found my issue, as there was a bend in the virtual WiFi Signalling cable that caused a higher than normal signal to noise ratio.
