Port Forwarding for Security Automation Module

This thread seems to just stop here, with no confirmation if the Honeywell VAM can infact be reached from the internet, without going thru honeywell Total Connect network, for a fee. I was thinking of purchasing one myself, but I am only interested if I am able to access it from my local LAN...
