Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

386.12 still going strong, maybe 386.12_2/4 needs full reset in order not to have wifi issues?!?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Definitely WiFi issues caused by 386.12_2 and 386.12_4. As you can see rolled back 386.12 has 0 problems.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

I am trying to find where there are reported issues on those but i cannot find them. They used to work perfectly fine but i did update them when i updated to 386.12_2 so it's possible they might be causing problems.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Wi-Fi broken again for me on 386.12_4, uptime was longer than 386.12_2 (about 2 days) but just after i rebooted and went to sleep, i woke up 7 hours later to find it broken again. Downgrading to 386.12 for now to see what the hell is going on. Could be radios failing but unlikely as more people...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Not sure if it's a known issue. I've updated my RT-AC68U from 386.12 (was working flawlessly) to 386.12_2 a few days ago, and i keep getting Wi-Fi devices booted off all together after a day or so (it seems), both radios (2.4ghz and 5ghz) stay still up but you are unable to re-authenticate to...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 is now available

Can we remove the "Automatic Bandwidth Setting" from Adaptive QoS since it doesn't work in practice? Or at least put a note? I have been using Merlin for years and didn't know this until i found out by luck when dived deeper into QoS.

    RT-AC68U QoS questions and results

Update: I found Adaptive QoS when set to manual bandwidth limit works just fine. The problem is the automatic setting, which doesn't work (and even FreshJR happens to mention it i found out later) and they should remove it from the FW. I've tried FreshJR mod as well and it is even better. I can...

    RT-AC68U QoS questions and results

Thanks guys. I've read FreshJR's thread and he is indeed right, factory Adaptive QoS is problematic. I'll give it a try, hopefully it doesn't mess up bufferbloat performance as even factory QoS did a good job optimising to use my whole bandwidth. I'll report back.

    RT-AC68U QoS questions and results

Hello guys. After Battle(non)sense made a video regarding bufferbloat recently i've decided to test my connection. Testing at http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest i immediately got a C while watching the huge ping spikes i was getting. I have a DOCSIS 3.0/ 60 mbps down/5 mbps up connection...

RT-AC68U questions: Root permissions, Work group + more

Ok just to add to my 3rd question. I checked and i'm running 1.0.2.0 bootloader. Technically the EU one but i'm not sure how to check. I overclocked to 1000,800, committed, rebooted, checked again the clocks and it stayed which is good. Now, which is the best merlin build to upgrade without...
