    Script Recommendations

For those with mips routers I would add ya-malware-block.sh to the list.

Viewing Traffic History from usb drive

Under Tools>Other Settings; I used custom location for traffic history and set to write on my usb drive. Is there a simple way to view the .gz file from bash? I tried 'zcat' but the file seemed to print garbage.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Had a bad usb drive that caused some NVRAM corruption it seems. All good now after factory resets. Went ahead and put on the leagacy build 33L7 to test out the older wifi drivers. KRACK fixes are for KRACK heads. Finally got around to using your NVRAM restore tool, very nice.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Lost the 5ghz band when I uploaded to 33e7. Went from 31e6. Went to 32e4 and 5g back. Ac66u mips. Did not save syslog but, did notice 5g channel set at 0 from gui wifi icon that was halved. Tried changing channels and disabling/ reenabling 5g and rebooting router to none effect.

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

You are correct. Looks like when I enabled DNSCRYPT via john's fork it put in the following entrys in /etc/dnsmasq.conf : server=127.0.0.1#65054 server=127.0.0.1#65053 Very nice script you have crafted.

AB-Solution - The Ad Blocking Solution

Just noticed this after a hosts update. Under option follow the log file: Select log verbosity [1-4 e=Exit] 1 Dnsmasq entry detected, redirecting hosts to 127.0.0.1 Be aware that log file entries with '127.0.0.1' are from another script, not AB-Solution Haven't installed any other...

Yet another malware block script using ipset (v4 and v6)

Not seeing the blacklist file @ /jffs/ipset_lists/ya-malware-block.blacks You mention this is optional. Do we add this file manually? Nice script btw.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Found another possible bug in Firewall>Network Services Filter: I am unable to enter an asterisk into the fields to block all ranges. ex 192.168.*.* It says its not valid. This did work at some point in the past fork versions.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Ah, did not turn on parental control as of yet, so a factory reset didn't resolve it. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, /32. A factory default reset fixed the problem.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Possible bug in Firewall>Network Services Filter: When I try and block 192.168.100.1 in the Destination IP field for TCP it dosen't work. I can still acess this from my browser; Chrome or Firefox. I'm fairly certain this worked in earlier versions of this fork. I'm on the latest version 18E3...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Latest beta 17BA feedback: Bandwidth Limiter seems to work properly nice addition! However, I have a problem with System Log>Port Forwarding displaying correctly. I get an All under destination column or an AllAllAllAll... in sequence with no other column info such as Proto. Port range...

DSLReports Speed Test Now Measuring Buffer Bloat

Setting the download cap in qos gives me an 'A' in bufferbloat but the quality and speed take a nose dive and my ingress bandwidth is 60% of normal. Tried using the tc command in user scripts, but can't seem to get a seperate flow rate for upload and download. In the end I gave up and used the...

Anyone know how to limit upload via the tc command?

Rate limiting download seems to work well. Not sure how to rate limit upload without QOS.

    Feature request

I would like to do this as well. Can a postconf script of dnsmasq.conf (or something else) be altered to change the bind variable from dynamic to strict? Please advise.

DSLReports Speed Test Now Measuring Buffer Bloat

I can confirm this. In my testing I could not get better than a 'C' grade until I also tweaked the download cap as well. There is a sweet spot as higher settings seem to do nothing. It was the only way I was able to get an 'A' grade. - I'm on John's fork V15E5, AC66U.

UPnP: Only allow certain clients possible?

Yes, the config file was located in the path: /tmp/etc/upnp/ I did not use one line, I added a seperate allow rule for each ip with no netmask. It is quite possible I did something wrong and noted the comment under UPnP permission rules states: CAUTION: failure to enforce any rules may...

UPnP: Only allow certain clients possible?

Thanks to all involved with this project; RMerlin and co. I was able to achieve this via the jffs/configs overide feature.
