    Yup. I loved the software and the 3G failover but I had to get rid of the Asus router because it kept dropping the WAN connection.

    Dual WAN load balance (and 3G/4g)

    Well my previous problem is gone where the WAN IP address was dropping, but now I'm experiencing the router hanging just like in the 1st post. Any ideas? I'm on 378.55, the router appears to be fully functioning all lights are blinking and it looks normal, except that it is completely locked...

    What does this firmware fix? Also does it have all the same options as Merlin (Asuswrt)?

    I'm still running 378.55, I re-flashed to this firmware, than did a hard reset. So far it has been working longer than it ever has. I have not lost the WAN IP in almost two days. I'm going to keep watching this as well.

    I'm going to give it 2 more days and if it keeps acting up its going back to Best Buy. I will go back to Netgear or maybe try Dlink

    The Dlink triband router is looking pretty impressive but once you start going to triband you are around $300.

    My 2 cents, with 300 down and 20 up you should be fine with no QOS. I have the same bandwidth as well and have 30 devices and I'm fine. My only issue with this router is the lease expires and than I lose the Wan IP address and everyone is down.

    This router obviously has a major flaw in that it keeps losing the WAN IP address which results in the internet going away until you re-apply the Wan settings or basically restart the router. This has locked up on me about 10 times in the last few days and this is BRAND NEW. I have re-flashed...

    UPDATE... Upgraded to 3.0.0.4.378.6975 firmware and it locked up again. Once it locks up and the WAN IP is no longer there your basically down. I think I'm at a point where I'm going to get rid of this Router once and for all, too much maintenance.

    Upgrading to 378.55 did not help the issue on my end, I now flashed to the Asus updated firmware posted on their site, 378.6975. We will wait and see.
