RT-N66U 2.4Ghz drops, but clients can't reconnect

Hi all, I'm glad I found this post. I've been having this issue for a couple of months now and I feel it's got worse. I'm trying the latest firmware and will see if that works. I only noticed it as my Nest products kept dropping offline!
