    MarCo, Thank you for responding. I did look at the first post, but I'm unsure about how the start and end IP addresses are entered. For example: /jffs/scripts/firewall ban 1.2.3.4 - 5.6.7.8 or /jffs/scripts/firewall ban 1.2.3.4 5.6.7.8 or something else ?

    How do you ban a range of IP's ? Do I need a special character in-between the start and end IP or do I just leave a blank space ?

    Want to reduce power

    I have an AC68 running Johns fork and used the nvram code to increase power and open additional channels.     I changed to obtain DNS server address automatically, flushed dns, cleared browser cache,rebooted and it works!! Thank you very much to all that helped me through the process, I did take notes.

    This PC is configured to get 192.168.1.111 from the router. I do see in the tables 8.8.8.8 for primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 for alt. This is my problem?

    Update.. Looking over my configuration, I realized that blacklist.txt and whitelist.txt were created as folders and not files. Fixed that and both service-start and update-hosts.sh will run in putty. After 20 or so seconds of the prompt returns with "done", nothing else, that's good right ? I...

    Can you explain this further? I do not have a hosts clean that I'm aware of. I just copied the whole dnsmasq file and did not add anything to it. That's not correct?

    Same result cat:read error: is a directory. I removed the .txt extension from dnsmasq.conf.add, reran and same error

    Thanks for that, clears one more thing up for me. Now regarding the scripts in NP++, what is the correct file extension to save as? I see lots of choices like "*", *txt, and a unix script file. I do have EOL set to unix.
