[3004.388.5] No internet access for WIFI networks after some time

No - the hard reset is a time consuming process (many things to manually reconfigure), and at this time without guarantee that it will anyway solve the issue (as it's a "random behavior" after several hours / days, and as (at first glance) it does not seem a "pure configuration" issue).

[3004.388.5] No internet access for WIFI networks after some time

It's good to hear that some users are not having any problem with the more recent firmwares (= at least it's not a general issue). Regarding logs, i have : Default message log level NOTICE Log only messages more urgent than INFO Also, i was somehow wrong : i think it is NOT only WIFI...

[3004.388.5] No internet access for WIFI networks after some time

So i updated to 388.6 and, sadly, i still have the exact symptoms problem : after some time, without anything being shown in the log, no more internet access. Log from this night (attached) : nothing is shown / everything was working during the night. At 07:00am, no more internet access for all...

[3004.388.5] No internet access for WIFI networks after some time

Clearly on my side, i never had the issue with 3004.388.4 (but of course YMMV). Also : i never tryed a soft reboot, i'm indeed also doing a full power cycle at router level each time it was happening on my side with 3004.388.5. I upgraded flawlessly Diversion to v5, but as i'm still on 388.4...

Regarding WPA : i was already with WPA2 and not with WPA3 Regarding Diversion : i was not aware, but i'll update it anyway, yes, thanks for the information.

[3004.388.5] No internet access for WIFI networks after some time

So i have a GT-AX6000. At first with 3004.388.4 since months, and everything was working fine. A few weeks ago, i updated it with 3004.388.5. Then i started to encounter these symptoms on all my wireless devices (android tablets, amazon echo show, amazon echo gen 1, ...) : - no more internet...

How to detect when WAN failover mode is activated on the router ?

Well in the script you quoting in your reply, there is nothing magic : it's just about having system-wide something configured under the "mail" command, and that will take care of the technical connectivity against SMTP (hence why it's then straightforward inside the script). On my side i use ...

High memory usage on GT-AX6000 - how to diagnose ?

In the meanwhile : - i rebooted my router - i shutdown the recommended service - i activated the diversion cache drop once a week and my memory usage was still slowing increasing from ~55% (after reboot) to ~81% (today). So i tried the purge command above, and indeed, it definitely recovers...

High memory usage on GT-AX6000 - how to diagnose ?

Yeah i don't really care about the 97% of memory being taken, but i care more about the web UI being not accessible + SSH not accessible. Ok, i also reconfigured diversion per your recommendation, let's see

High memory usage on GT-AX6000 - how to diagnose ?

Good to know, i'll try that, thanks for the tip (memory was leaking probably over the weeks, so will be hard to say if it definitely solves my issue, but let's see).

High memory usage on GT-AX6000 - how to diagnose ?

Hello, I recently bought a GT-AX6000 ASUS ROG router. Asus Merlin (latest 388.1 version) is installed inside it + Diversion (amtm) + custom DNSMasq. I'm now encountering some very high memory usage (99% or even 100%), leading to ... the web UI not being sometime anymore accessible, or even the...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

Hello, Cool, a new firmware update ! But ... about the selected models, does it mean that some model like the "RT-AC88U" (that i own since a couple of years) are not going to be supported anymore ??! Or is there a chance for them to also receive that update in the future ?

    Can't Login to GUI

Indeed, sorry for the typo, i was willing to say 384.14_2 -> 386.2_4. Ok, good to now, so let's wait... edit : after something like 90', service has indeed been restored, so it's as you were saying a different problem than what was discussed in this topic (only related to the upgrade on my...

    Can't Login to GUI

Exact same problem for me now on RT-AC88U I've never encountered this problem a single time until today. I've just upgraded from 386.14_2 to latest 386.2_4 And now i constantly have this problem (even after a software reboot or a hardware reboot). Network is however still working, including...

How to detect when WAN failover mode is activated on the router ?

How to detect when WAN failover mode is activated on the router ?

Hello, I have a RT-AC88U (with Asus Merlin firmware) at home, WAN connected through a fiber connection (via the "free" french network), on which i have quite often some shutdowns (it seems that it's vandalism and that some guys are unplugging everything in the neighborhood (sigh) ...) So i...

    WiFi as WAN with RT-AC68U

Hey Binski. I'm nearly in the same situations as you - Merlin firmware on an Asus router (RT-N66U on my side) with a huawei hotspot and, as my main wan provider (numericable / france) is really unreliable, i would like to wire the huawei hotspot in dual wan mode. Did you managed in the...
