    Yes @Zetto, I clearly followed the instructions mentioned in [Wireless] ASUS router Hard Factory Reset - Method 1 | Official Support | ASUS Global but nothing changed. Am guessing it has indeed bricked.

    I changed the the wired adapter on my laptop to 1Gbps full duplex and restarted, restarted the router too but even then the link shows 100Mbps. However my wireless adapter shows 1Gbps and here's the transfer speed capture.

    Yes gatorback, all the devices are directly connected to the router. I tried copying files with various sizes. Copying 1.4GB file took about 13mins :(

    Update: All the above mentioned issues are fixed with the latest firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3831 update from Asus. However the signal range seem to have dropped on both 2.4 and 5Ghz.
