    RT-AC68U and 380.69-0 - reduced ISP speed

I have to admit to having not defaulting the router after the firmware upgrade - but the reduced speed was on both wireless and wired connections. Using a simple bandwidth checker, on 380.69_0 the result was in the region of 20Mbps, and immediately after rolling back to 380.68_4 it was back to...

    RT-AC68U and 380.69-0 - reduced ISP speed

I finally got around to upgrading the firmware to 380.69, on Tuesday. I noticed last night that I was seeing reduced internet bandwidth - between 5% and 25% of normal speeds. I couldn't see anything in the router logs, but this morning rolled the firmware back to 380.68_4, and the bandwidth is...

    DSL-AC68U, 2 x Xbox One, and Fall 2017 Update

I've been looking forward to the most recent Xbox dashboard update because of its ability to choose Xbox Live ports, so I can finally disable UPnP on my network. Now it's here, I have a question or two. Looking in the Network > Advanced > Ports > Manual section of Settings, it gives the option...

DSL-AC68U - Latest Official Firmware and SIP Problems

DSL-AC68U - Latest Official Firmware and SIP Problems

That makes a lot of sense, and explains what's going on. Thank you. I think I have everything working properly now with the current firmware, but if it causes any more issues in the future I might consider getting a separate modem and an RT-AC68U so I can use custom firmware.

DSL-AC68U - Latest Official Firmware and SIP Problems

Thanks for the note. But yeah, much as it pains me, I do hard reset and re-enter the router config manually.

DSL-AC68U - Latest Official Firmware and SIP Problems

Hmmm. I've got it working, but I don't see how changing what I changed would make any difference. I've allocated the PC that has the softphone a fixed IP. Upgrade the softphone software to latest version. Rebooted my PC Incoming calls now work. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

DSL-AC68U - Latest Official Firmware and SIP Problems

In a nutshell, I recently upgraded my firmware to 3.0.0.4.380_3281 from 3.0.0.4.378_9212 and now I am unable to receive inbound calls on my SIP softphone. I upgraded because of some odd-looking activity in my logs (people trying to login remotely), and after seeing the change log for the...
