    Internet drops AC88u firm:380.65

There is a history of threads on this issue going through various firmware revisions and routers. Doing a search for dropped connections etc will net you a bunch of good info. Primarily the theme is the 'issue' is with the ISP when dhcp releases/renews your IP lease. I don't remember the...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64_2 is now available

@vincom The unit running smooth on stock is why I haven't done anything asus support/RMA wise (even though they may return it just because, but I don't want to deal with it). The unit was also running well on 63.x until it randomly tanked (somewhat coinciding with working with a software...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64_2 is now available

@vincom I was/am leaning towards hardware failure during this issue and RMAing this thing (really don't want to deal with that, but if it comes to that so be it), but it's been stable on asus stock .4180 running a minimal 1-2 client setup. It was on a battery plug on a decent Tripp-lite UPS...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64_2 is now available

Yep, numerous times. Every time a factory reset was done all of the config was done manually and kept super minimal (as in just my lappie connected to the router via cat5e) I actually posted in this thread the other day, which had more information and I made a thread last week. I likely didn't...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64_2 is now available

I've factory reset many times, it's religiously done after every flash. It's also been done without flashing at least 12 times yesterday. Factory reset by GUI (when it works), with reset button, with asus utility.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64_2 is now available

I'm at a loss, I dont really know what to do here. The other day I posted in here after my 88u on 380.63-2 had an epic crash and burn. No idea why it happened but it did. Everything was running smooth until last tuesday, then its been a disaster ever since. I used recovery mode and asus utility...

State of the project - 2016 in review

The flexibility of Asus routers to run custom firmware and hardware specs led me to Asus units. My research brought me to your particular development and the general community support sealed the deal. I've always been a supporter of gnu/open source software and back in my actual full time...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64_2 is now available

I made another thread with some issues I was having with an 88u, actually the router went from working beautifully, to being completely screwed randomly, even after a few factory resets. So I decided to try 380.64, factory reset, 5g still not working. In fact after the 380.64 flash it's...

RT-AC88RU 5G gone, GUI lagging, constant disconnects.

That's what I figured. I'm in the process of a factory reset and I guess I'm going to stay on the 63.2 for now. I'm reading the .64 thread and see a bunch of issues, unless its worth a shot while I'm doing this. This all happened virtually at the same time I was dealing with sending a file to...

RT-AC88RU 5G gone, GUI lagging, constant disconnects.

There is no USB drive attached, nor has there ever been. The router IS on a UPS battery line, which hasn't seemed to cause an issue, though I can switch it to a surge only port on a UPS in the closet. I really don't have any space on direct wired outlets unless I'm plugging two UPS in chain...

RT-AC88RU 5G gone, GUI lagging, constant disconnects.

Running 380.63 (I'm fairly certain though I do not want to connect to the router as it will lock-up for 3-4 minutes and drop all connections, were running this at a business and I cannot afford that to happen), middle of the night last night it reset, log reports nothing special at all. After...
