Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 46E8 (Superseded)

Is there a way to use TOR / Onion with this firmware?

AC66U slow with 6in4 - advise on new router

Maybe there is a way to setup 6in4 on some other device on the network? I have rt-n16 in AP mode. Would it be possible to somehow setup 6in4 tunnel on it and advertise it to the network so it doesn't affect NAT acceleration on the main router? No idea why NAT acceleration has to be disabled with...

YES! After adding ext_ip=myrealip in /etc/upnp/config it's working! Log from the program that didn't work before: Removing ext_ip from config. Trying STUN now. TL;DR Applications that worked without stun now won't work at all: qBt (worked without ext_ip), crypto wallets (worked only with...

OK, I've went through the logs of the program in question, that doesn't seem to use UPnP properly after the fix. Here's what I found: 2020-07-06T21:20:39Z upnp thread start 2020-07-06T21:20:41Z No valid UPnP IGDs found 2020-07-06T21:20:41Z upnp thread exit It could be related to upnpc included...

Am I and is it? It has somewhat worked before as well, but only for qBt for me, now it also works for AceStream, but doesn't for any of crypto wallets I've tried - port stays closed, and there's no new entry in port forwarding table. Is there a way to check miniupnpd debug logs to see why it is...

Just installed it! I think the messages are gone now! I'll keep an eye out for them. Description field is better now: https://nyazo.jp/W8oP0q4.png, though there's also Destination field that doesn't fit in the box at all, not really important ^^

Is it using STUN on 374 LTS now by default? I have static external IP behind the "private" address, wouldn't it be better if I supplied it somehow to miniupnpd?

Thanks! Just out of curiosity then, does UPnP now get external IP automatically and if not, why is it not needed? I don't seem to fully understand how UPnP works behind double NAT, hehe.

Is there an nvram command to supply upnp with external ip? Or is it not needed now with latest development release?

Thanks! Getting this in system log now: miniupnpd[467]: SoapMethod: Unknown: GetPortMappingNumberOfEntries urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1 But it does seem to work much better now! AceStream didn't show up before and now it does and the port is open! Perfect!

I found here: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/firewall/upnp/miniupnpd external_ip - Manually specified external IP - if not specified the default ipv4 address of the external interface is used. Would this help? How can I specify it for miniupnpd on merlin 374 firmware? Tried /etc/upnp/config...

The issue is that port forward keeps the port open forever, UPnP is supposed to be more secure. I will try 380 merlin next week to see if it resolves the issue. Yes, I get 10/8 address from ISP and my home network is in 192.168/16, but I also have a static external IP.

It didn't work when I just enabled UPnP, but worked after i manually forwarded the port in Windows. Even after removal of that setting, it keeps being open, disregarding UPnP setting in app. Forwarding port in Windows made it appear in Port Forwarding immediately. Forwarding via UPnP does nothing.

I see. Then how can you comment this? Notice connections to port 5723. This port is not in port forwarding table, but apparently it's working. It could be from time when I manually forwarded this port in Windows (and then removed this rule) and now it's still connectable for some reason, no...

No errors. I'm pretty sure it worked correctly on 380 merlin, though. But I also changed ISP since then, not sure how it can be related to router settings, apart from that my previous ISP didn't force me to double NAT.

Most apps where I tried ticking "enable UPnP" - bitcoin core forked wallets, acestream engine. Using services to check on port is open gave me NO response.

Question about UPnP. For some reason most apps don't appear in System Log - Port forwarding list, if I enable UPnP inside them. So far only qBittorrent seem to appear here. Is it normal? If I port forward manually through Windows or in router virtual servers - they do appear there. Screenshot:

    1. I haven't seen any difference in performance switching from merlin 380. It's up to you. 2. 3. You need to follow the steps on asus recovery guide, there's no way you will flush a wrong router. 4. no idea ):
