    My 3rd router works with all the same cables I tried on the first two. By this router is plaqued with issues. I've moved back to my original 5300.

    Don't know why I went through so much trouble getting this thing. I'm going back to my original 5300. This thing is plagued with issues, random pausing during gaming, wifi drop outs other weird issues. Rebooted and wifi was gone completely. Rebooted it again and wifi finally showed back up.

    Hardware is different somewhat. Different CPU, 8 ports instead of 4 with specific devoted ports for stuff supposedly.

    *update* Router number 3... worked out of the box like a normal router should. So after two routers and I bought a new modem I care the one charter gave me was crap even though my old modem and router was fine. So had two bad routers out of the box.

    2-3 different cables, yes. Same cables work from modem right to the pc and to my other routers.

    That was done several times. Going to take my modem to charter tomorrow and get them to switch it out. Also will take it to work and test it on my circuit there. :( man the trouble for a router when I have two others working fine, LOL.
