Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

Mixed results on dirty upgrades: 1x RT-AC88U Router: Success, no issues. 2x RT-AC68U and 1x RT-AC68P as AiMesh Nodes: Updated successfully, but would not reconnect to AiMesh Router. Tried re-pairing as well (edit: factory reset and re-paired "successfully," but would not reconnect after...

    Airprint / Bonjour issue

Not to get too deep in the weeds or off topic, but... that's not cool, at all. Tell her this random stranger on the internet said to be nice.

    ASUS RT-AC88U hardware/software defect identification

Exact same situation. Bought it hoping it was just a firmware issue, but it won't boot at all. Pristine case, no marks or scratches whatsoever. Tamper seal was still present and unbroken. No lights, nothing over the serial port. Swapped power supplies; no dice. Measuring 19V solid at the...

    Dual WAN Unbalanced

Ok, so it looks like the iptables rules were correct for the nth and packet parameters. There's conflicting information about how to set it up, with some people incrementing the value of --packet, and others incrementing the value of --every. Regardless, the hit counts match, and that's the...

Traffic Analyzer in Dual WAN Load Balancing Mode

Linux is what's on the router.

    Dual WAN Unbalanced

I understand. Still, a consistent traffic bias in favor of one interface (when both have ~the same bandwidth) over a sustained period seems indicative of a problem IMO. I looked at the iptables: -A balance -m statistic --mode nth --every 2 -j CONNMARK --set-xmark 0x80000000/0xf0000000 -A...

Traffic Analyzer in Dual WAN Load Balancing Mode

I ended up installing vnstat and using that. It's a bit of a hassle, but it works great.

    Dual WAN Unbalanced

I'm seeing a large bias in favor of ppp0 (WAN) in my traffic logs (though, granted, I've only had them running for a week). It's not a speed/bandwidth issue -- if anything, the underused interface is slightly faster. Interestingly, it seems to be about a 3:1 ratio, which I believe is the...

Traffic Analyzer in Dual WAN Load Balancing Mode

Is the Traffic Monitor tab supposed to be (relatively) accurate in load balancing mode? I'm noticing what seems to be an undercount when both connections are saturated, but not quite a halving. Edit: Does the "Daily" view combine traffic from both interfaces? This is what I'm most interested in.

Dual WAN with (Dual?) VPN Load Balancing RT-AC88U

So I succeeded in configuring 2 VPNs connected and bound to each WAN (ppp) interface. I noticed that the router is using CONNMARK to load balance, and rule-matching matching marks to use the wan0 and wan1 routing tables respectively. Using that knowledge, I inserted rules for tun11 into wan0...

Dual WAN with (Dual?) VPN Load Balancing RT-AC88U

I got a second DSL connection to improve bandwidth, and I got Dual WAN setup and working well in load-balancing mode with a 1:1 ratio. Download speeds with multi-connection apps (torrents, download "accelerators") are double what they were with a single connection, so it seems to be working...
