    RT-AX86U - Jumbo frames for 2.5GbE port.

Yes, like you said it's all on broadcom SDK drivers this time, it's up to them to release jumbo frame support.

    RT-AX86U - Jumbo frames for 2.5GbE port.

I agree. It is very strange to not support jumbo frames at 2.5GbE - 10GbE speeds when $30 ASUS 2.5Gbit USB-C2500 dongle supports 16k

Yes, new chipset, new cpu with different/new drivers that do not support jumbo frames ...

    RT-AX86U - Jumbo frames for 2.5GbE port.

So ASUS GT-AX11000 also accepts jumo frames. Do you still have "Enable Jumbo Frames" in LAN Switch options ?

    RT-AX86U - Jumbo frames for 2.5GbE port.

I've also tested LACP, LAN1+LAN2 in aggregation. RT-AX86U (Original) passes through jumbo frames up to 10K in LACP 2Gbit/s interface. RT-AX86U PRO stops at 1472 MTU in LACP 2Gbit/s interface. So LACP is also affected by this MTU change.

    RT-AX86U - Jumbo frames for 2.5GbE port.

I tested it using hardware from the same vendor, so we get same hardware / vendor across all 3 devices. USB Network cards used: ASUS USB-C2500 2.5Gbit/s, jumbo frames enabled 16k ping 10.0.0.223 -f -l 9674 Pinging 10.0.0.223 with 9674 bytes of data: Reply from 10.0.0.223: bytes=9674...

    RT-AX86U - Jumbo frames for 2.5GbE port.

Yes i am talking about my local network, i know internet will have MTU of 1500 and for WAN "internet" more than 1500 is useless. In my local network however I want to have 9k over RT-AX86U PRO switch, not wan port. Tomorrow i'll test how much MTU can be forwarded via local switch on original...

    RT-AX86U - Jumbo frames for 2.5GbE port.

Yea i am talking about local jumbo frames, ethernet switch only, not wan port or NAT translation. WAN port and NAT translation need MTU of 1500 or 1510 max for vpn overhead.

If i try to force more then 1500 MTU it is rejected by driver itself.

RT-AX86U Original version: admin@RT-AX86U-5EC8:/tmp/home/root# ethswctl -c jumbo -p 9 JUMBO_PORT_MASK:0x010001FF GPHY_0 port accepts jumbo frames. GPHY_1 port accepts jumbo frames. GMII_1 port accepts jumbo frames. GMII_2 port accepts jumbo frames. GPON_SERDES port accepts jumbo...

    RT-AX86U - Jumbo frames for 2.5GbE port.

Usual stuff, mostly file sharing (samba) and some other protocols, and yes enabling jumbo frames speeds increase when copying files from one file server to client, i have already tested this and confirmed this. So example using samba (windows file sharing) will use MTU bigger than 1500, and...

    RT-AX86U - Jumbo frames for 2.5GbE port.

I am not pinging the router, but my local server (192.168.0.1) with intel nic set to 9000 MTU. So the switch inside pro version is not even passing MTU bigger than 1492 bytes to other clients connected to switch in pro version.

    AX86U or Pro

Today i also tested jumbo frame support. Original version of AX86U does support jumbo frames, while the pro version doesn't ? Pro version is worse than original unless there's a bug in current firmware ? that doesn't show to enable jumbo frames in UI ? More here...

    RT-AX86U - Jumbo frames for 2.5GbE port.

I just tested both versions: - RT-AX86U (Original) - RX-AX86U Pro Original supports jumbo frames on local switch LAN1,2,3,4 + 2.5GbE port, if i enable option in switch settings, i can ping my server with MTU of 9K. On Pro version i do the same but packets just get discarded. Example...

Does RT-AX86U Pro Support Jumbo Frames?

I am also interested in jumbo frames but only for local network, 4 port + 1 port 2.5gbe switch that is intergrated into CPU itself. Does it support jumbo frames on switch ?, not the wan port.

    AX86U or Pro

I just got RT-AX86U Pro. Changes i noticed are: - DDR4 RAM instead of DDR3 - Better CPU, on less nanometers, faster clocks - New Radio - No option to turn on JUMBO FRAMES for LAN switch Are jumbo frames by default turned on on this new version ? as 2.5Gbit/s port needs jumbo frames for faster...

Its there support for the TUF AX3000 V2?

Greetings, This router , v2 version dropped to 80€ in Slovenia. And since it's a broacom do you think it could get support in the future ? let's say 2024 ? http://en.techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/ASUS_TUF-AX3000_v2 It has excellent price of 80€ for 2401Mbit/s on 5Ghz WiFi6 and has a...

AX86U LAN Link Aggregation: doesn't seem to be working?

LACP doesn't have 2gbit/s speeds for 1 file. You have to copy multiple files from multiple disks. When 1gbit/s is fully saturated 2nd link 1gbit will get used totaling 2gbit/s. If you copy a simple file it does go max 1gbit/s.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 Beta is now available for Wifi 6 models

After 1 day 7 hour uptime, i can now confirm RT-AX86U stays at 160MHz and doesn't switch to 80MHz anymore. 36/160 stays Speedtest, s23 ultra, my fiber speed to ISP is 1gbit/s, 926Mbit/s.

Radios not staying at 40 MHz / 160 MHz on 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz bands

As far as i know all iphones are locked at 80MHz, 1200Mbit/s. 2x2 MIMO. If you want to use 160MHz, 2400Mbit/s use Samsung s21 Ultra or higher. I have iPhone 13Pro MAX, S21 Ultra, S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra. iPhone is always at 80MHz, while at the same time all ultras are at 160MHz.
