    Asus Rog Gt-Ax6000

ASUSWRT 5.0 came out in June 2023 for the GT-AX6000 (3.0.0.6.102_21514), three further updates have followed, the last this month, but that doesn't mean a GPL dump of the source code is available even all this time later, although it would perhaps be a surprise if they hadn't done something by...

    ASUS WRT-Merlin for 3.0.0.6.xxx on Asus GT-AX6000?

You certainly can "upgrade" to 3.0.0.6 by changing to the standard ASUS release for the GT-AX6000, it does have a lot of fixes, but it sounds like ASUS haven't released the source code for a Merlin version yet... On the "up" side as there is a 3.0.0.6 version for the GT-AX6000 there's a good...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

BTW I set Auto-Logout to 30 mins and don't get logged out at all (well, after a few days anyway, multiple times). (GT-AX6000) Entertainingly it just worked, perhaps as I left the browser window open??? (Earlier it was still logged in after closing the browser window yesterday, unless there's...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Thank you, appreciated. BTW as the 2.4GHz has gone from 195Mbps with the RT-AC87U to 6Mbps with the GT-AX6000 I've just disabled it at the Media Bridge since it's pointless. Pity the radios in the new router aren't better though... Oh and I reset the media bridge and completely set it up again...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Oh and if anyone has any suggestions on tweaking any of the settings in my "professional settings" images above i'd appreciate it. I find the GT-AX6000 radios to be significantly less good than my RT-AC87U's ones, which might be a firmware setting or something in the firmware, possibly? For...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

"that is not what your screenshots show." - sorry, Roaming Assistant shows as disabled doesn't it? The disabling other things I did later...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

Great idea, thanks, but alas... I did disable "Multi User MIMO", "Explicit Beamforming" and "Universal Beamforming" for 2.4GHz in case there's anything there that might help, but made no difference.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

There's 29 pages in the thread, so apologies if I'm missing anything relevant, but I have this issue where my Asus RP-AC68U, which I'm using as a Media Bridge to provide high-speed Ethernet (well, 1Gb/s anyway) to a bunch of upstairs devices, has all these errors (in the GT-AX6000's log) with...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 is now available for select models

I have a FireTV 4k, but haven't used it for some time, if the remote were not asleep and putting out WiFi I can't see the batteries would still be going? Also a Shield TV, but again not used for a long time. Thanks for the reply! It's just so odd it tracks the router channel changes?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 is now available for select models

I have a question which may have nothing to do with 388.2 (which I'm running on a GT-AX6000) but it's very odd, so I thought I'd ask... I have this interfering 5GHz signal with the SSID "DIRECT-VK-Android_9c3f" and whenever I move the Router Channel away it moves to follow it shortly afterwards...

Who Uses the Standard Interface and Who Uses the ROG?

When I got my GT-AX6000 I started with the ROG interface but couldn't quite seem to get some options working as I wanted, so went back to the standard interface and all was fine. It was odd as I didn't reset anything during the change (as RM had said the eeprom contents should be the same for...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

As I said, I might find initial setup easier with the "standard" interface and if the "rog" one has a bunch or gaming extras that might be nice afterwards.

ROG GT-AX6000 (UK Black Friday Price)

My RT-AC87U gets about 1GBps connections on 5GHz to a couple of media bridges on the next floor up, one currently 1170 Tx/570 Rx (the other is off, so less!), my iPad Pro is currently 867/867. (I use the media bridges so can wire to devices with older/slower WiFi hardware.)

Asuswrt-Merlin router with 2.5gbps WAN and LAN ports - quick bit of purchase advice, please...?

I considered the RT-AX86U Pro, but availability in the U.K. is "sometime" and I was concerned if the radios would be as strong at my (now EOL by ASUS) RT-AC87U's (which are amazing, I get c. 1G bps connections to upper rooms one through a brick wall) The cheaper prices on the GT-AX6000 brought...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

You misunderstand. What I was asking was if the EEPROM data was the same between GT-AX6000 "standard" and "rog" user-interface firmwares, so you can switch between the two without having to reconfigure anything or having strange stuff happen (or does the ROG version add extra data, e.g. for...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

A quick question - having got a GT-AX6000 incoming to replace my RT-AC87U, which is now on the Asus EOL list, do the "standard" and "rog" versions of the firmware use the same config data layout, so you can seamlessly move between them? I'd like to try the rog version, but may find it easier to...

    Solved RT-AC87U questions

What ever happened about the fork of Merlin some 3rd parties had added a couple of important security patches to (about a year ago)? That seemed to spring to life and then go quiet, but they did have a ROM image. Ah, found it: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/fork-384-13-builds.72845/ Which I...

    Beta [Fork] 384.13 builds

So I've blown 202106 into my 87u and it seems okay, except the uptime is too short (at a bit over a day) and I have the reboot scheduler disabled (see below for more, note "dnsmasq" makes an appearance). I'm not getting either of the messages people have commented on. There are some topology...

Did this go anywhere - I was thinking someone might have tried it and replied?

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 is now available

Thanks for that, sorry for the late reply but I'm noticeably unwell, hopefully won't last much longer tho as it's getting annoying... (okay, it's day 3 so not bubonic plague, hopefully anyway). Plus no I don't have custom scripts enabled but I could do that. (BTW do they survive an upgrade or...
