    Linux kernel WiFi stack vulnerabilities

Well, I asked if they are affected, not if they're already patched. Patches for Linux have been released btw(at least for the 5.x versions): https://www.phoronix.com/news/Linux-6.0.2-Point-Releases-WiFi It could of course be the older Linux kernel is not affected, but I wanted to be sure, that's...

Are Asuswrt-Merlin and/or stock Asuswrt affected by these? https://www.phoronix.com/news/Linux-WiFi-Malicious-Packets

    RT-N66U LTS fork PMF

I'm using the RT-N66U with the latest release from John's LTS fork and noticed I don't see the PMF(Protected Management Frames) setting in the wireless settings. Is the N66U supposed to support PMF? I'm not sure, but I thought the setting was there multiple years ago. Maybe I was still using the...

A reboot fixed the error, thank you! (That I hadn´t thought of that myself o_O)

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 50E8

Thanks for the explanation! I tried updating my N66U to 50E8 LTS release, but I'm getting this error: "Firmware upgrade unsuccessfully. It may result from incorrect image or error transmission. Please check the version of firmware and try again." I checked the SHA256 and also confirmed it is...

"Updated wireless drives for FRAGATTACK on AC68U¨ Does that mean the AC68U is the only model which has FRAGATTACK fixed? Will more models be fixed in another release?

In addition to the Hash-to element feature, there is another new WPA3 security feature: SAE Public Key (SAE-PK): optional feature is available now Mitigates rogue (or “evil twin”) AP attacks by providing asymmetric (public key) authentication of the AP, combined with mutual isolation of clients...

Lack of basic hardening features in routers, Merlin affected?

He said that the majority of the problems are bugs and limitations of the platform, that was not specific to Asus routers and whether Asuswrt-Merlin is also affected. Regarding the second paper, its about the specific bug with MIPS hardware, they don't mention ARM hardware in the second paper...

Lack of basic hardening features in routers, Merlin affected?

4 ARM models(AC3200, AC68, AC86, AC88) are analyzed in this paper. Thanks, I missed it because it's not in this subforum. I still would like a more specific reply though from @RMerlin if he can do anything about it on the routers supported by Asuswrt-Merlin.

Lack of basic hardening features in routers, Merlin affected?

A lot of home routers fail to meet modern(and old) safety safeguards, including Asus. Does this also affect Merlin firmware? And, if so, can it be fixed? https://cyber-itl.org/2018/12/07/a-look-at-home-routers-and-linux-mips.html
